You know that they are going to try and cash-whip Deion Sanders to be the next coach at Texas A&M. I mean, it's inevitable. The Aggies' beat down at Miami, coupled with Horns' win at Bama has caused a domino effect within the aggy boosters. The thing is, Deion and the Buffs could be the kings of the Big 12 with Texas and ZeroU headed out and be a good choice to make the playoffs annually. The aggys can't offer that. But you can damn sure bet they are going to try and they probably already are.
So ... how many A&M boosters went to Boulder, Colorado on Sunday?

Bama faithful are talking about sending Saban off into retirement and getting Sanders as their new HC. lol
aggy has to figure out how they're going to pay off Jimbo's contract, each of the assistant's contracts, and the contract of the new HC and the contracts of the new assistants. That's got to be a whopping sum of cash.
There's another risk, too. What if they fire Jimbo, hire the next great thing, and still do 5-7, 6-6 each year? lol

Dion is the #1 coaching prospect out there for the big boys, and second place isn't in the rearview mirror. Just like Herman was 7 or 8 years ago. But I don't see aggie having a shot at him.... a better guess would be Florida IMO. Aggie needs to focus on Lubbock or San Antonio for their next coach, should they decide to pony-up and give someone else a national championship plaque without the date on it.

I heard people predicting 1-11 for CU / Dion this year. I'm not sure what you mean by "buying the Colorado hype." Perhaps you meant they have a loss or two in their future? In any case, what he has done is spectacular. So I guess in that regard, I'm buying....

I'm not sure what their record will be, but they are way better then almost anyone expected. It has made me believe that he is probably a damn good coach.
Doubt aggy would be his thing. If he is as good as it at first appears he will be able to be very selective about his next gig. Seems like Florida would be a better fit and is likely to open up.

If the Ags are going to pass the hat for $77 million to buy out Jimbo, pay what they owe his assistants, offer Deion $10 million per year and pay for his staff...

Dion brought in 86 new players.... many "experts" had CU winning one or two games this year. He beat a top 25 team that made the NCAA Championship game last year in game 1. Then, blew out an historic blue blood - with another first year coach (from the NFL) in game 2.
"Spectacular - beautiful in a dramatic and eye-catching way."
I will respectfully stick with my semantics for what has been done. But I hear you.... many more games to be played. I'm not betting against Prime Time at this point.

Honestly, not a bad option. Let's see his offense do something first, but definite possibility. They can probably get him on the cheap a bit and fill it with incentives. To me, it's way more plausible than Deion.
You are giving TCU and Nebraska a lot of credit.
TCU looking more like a middle of the pack Big12 school this year and Nebraska is even worse.
I am waiting to see what Colorado can do in 2 weeks against Oregon and then I'll buy the hype.
This is gonna sound like a cheap shot but IMO , Prime has one goal, get his son to the NFL, after his son is gone do you really see him putting in the grind of day to day operations to run a program. Prime was never known to be a student of the game, he is basically being the Elmer Gantry of college football. There has got to be something fishy going on when players transferred out, they weren't buying his brand of snake oil or his claims to be the rainmaker
