He later did the same thing with Staubach and Morton. Never cared for that tactic.
Craig Morton had one of the best arms l’ve ever seen until he had to have shoulder surgery. I remember the play when he got hurt. It was a sideline hit.

No doubt. But his OL almost got him killed. Few QBs ever took more punishment.
Very true. I remember a game where he got his nose broken. Blood was dripping down his face. He came over to the sideline. The doctor or trainer popped his broken nose back into place and he went back into the game. Never missed a play.

Using the ifs and buts expression...If the Cowbors had beaten the Packers in the Ice Bowl and the following year, most likely the Cowboys would have won the first two Super Bowls. History would have a more favorable light and memory of Don Meredith. But, if ifs and buts...?

PS - Another favorite quote of mine by Don Meredith was in the 1968 NFC Conference Championship. The Packers were up 14-0 before Dallas got on offense. In the huddle for the first time, Don Meredith said, "Boys, we are in a world of sh*t." Dallas tied it up in 1st quarter, 14-14. Lost chance to go to overtime game on final drive. Packers won 34-27 and went on to win their second Super Bowl. Bart Starr, QB of Packers, won his second Super Bowl MVP. Don Meredith knew first hand of "If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas. ?

So glad we are not in the PAC, or the BIG, for that matter.

So, how difficult will it be to travel (players) to our games the first year in the SEC, considering they don’t fly commercial?

I can look more up later, but right now I am waiting for service on network.

Texas A&M

Over/under 8.5 wins

Jimbo Fisher brought in Bobby Petrino to run the offense after another less-than-stellar season. That's how desperate Fisher is to turn things around. The receiver room is solid, and the eventual starting quarterback -- Conner Weigman or Max Johnson -- should be able to provide a small spark for the offense now that there's some familiarity on the roster. However, the Aggies need more than just a "small spark" to get to the nine-win mark and cash over tickets. Pick: Under 8.5 (-170)
