"They were able to explain in detail some things that I already knew about the creative process but seeing how they do it on the computer using different tools and technology taught me how much more I could do than just on my phone. Even just the little things like how they do their presets or the pictures they use, it was really cool seeing all of that stuff because it's something I'm extremely interested in."
"I'm excited to start the official visit to Texas Tech. It's kind of hard to get up there because it's so far away so getting to see them go through their meetings and practice will be big too," he said. "I haven't been able to see any of that stuff yet so I'll be able to see a different perspective than I did previously."

I like the quote about it being hard to get out to Lubbock. Young man couldn't possibly want to make it that hard for his family to get out to see him play, right?

8 out of 10 is pretty good. After all, it was an unofficial visit and only lasted a matter of hours.
His OV to UT will blow his mind, a week after Tech. I hope he gets to see Lubbock while he's there. lol
I see this sentiment a lot on this board...is there any added value to a verbal commitment (ie posting it on twitter) vs a silent commitment between you and the coaches?
If I am Sark, and a kid tells me he is coming to Texas but is going to post about it on Twitter on his mom's birthday, I don't think I take care whether its a verbal or being kept silent.
Conversely, if a kid commits and that staff asks him if he will keep it quiet until a point in the cycle where they are trying to drum up some momentum - does the coach, or the kid care?
The kids and the coaches likely don't care either way, only message board fans who start feeling antsy or like Texas is falling behind.
Saw on YouTube that Lubbock is the second most dangerous city in Texas, and was voted in the top 10 most boring cities in the nation. Hope he watches YouTube.
I know we were just trying to throw our hat in the ring for this one but with Ryner going to BYU, I am starting to question our TE recruiting.
Jeff Banks, as an ace recruiter, really hasn't brought anyone major into that room. This year Jordan Washington (a kid not yet ranked on all sites) is our best looking option. Last years crop of Spencer Shannon (39th) and Will Randle (47th) also not too impressive.
With a head coach who says TE is the most important position on the field, you'd think he'd at least want a 4 star talent joining the TE room.

Well, you have Sanders who was a 5-star.
Shannon was recruited not for what he is today, but what he projects to be in the future. The staff does a lot of this. See the Ponton recruitment.
Randle was the cost of getting Manning, or helping to get Manning.
Washington is another one who tests off the charts and is rising. I credit the staff for the evaluation.

Getting antsy over TE are you.No that it matters but Sark thinks QB is most important player.
Recruiting will be fine(so most say) To me we will get what we get and they will work out for better orworse top 12 class orsomewhere near that.
Sark makes the big money let him worry.
We have needed to replace a Sanders replacement. We have yet to do so and won't in the 2024 cycle.
I do like Shannon, Randle and Washington and believe they can all contribute. Let's see what Washington does his senior year, he could really blow up.

Not antsy, just bringing up a concern.
I think we will have a top 10, and maybe 5 recruiting class overall. I also think that for the 3rd year in a row it will lack a blue chip TE prospect.
You are right, I had his quote a bit wrong. TE is 2nd most important, after QB.
