Historically Christians have been persecuted around the world… And still in much of the world today.

I’m looking forward to the Christian pride day with great anticipation!
That occurs every week at my Church.  I believe we also saw it on the field when Damar Hamlin was hurt.  It's there one just has to know what to look for.

It also doesn't have anything to do with sports and that was your point.  But yes, it appears it was the latter, eliminate the things that you don't agree with.

"“Pride” is political"

Some of their agenda is.  But celebrating the community is not and that's what was happening at the game.
Smacking one’s wife around is immoral too.  Should Texas have kept beard on board so you could celebrate him?

You should read the topic on this board, "Beard is done ". There was no celebration of the act by anyone, only condemnation. There was consideration that he might not be guilty.

Why do you ask, did you want to celebrate him?

I was asking the other fellow but since you asked.   I want to celebrate sports, not immoral sexual acts.  Beard should’ve been fired, I have no issue with the termination.  I’d rather see a coach let go that you can’t get answers to than rape covered up and hidden.  I do not want to take my kids to a sporting event and them have to see something that we as a family disagree with propped up and supported.  No politics, just sports

You just proved their point. You state religion is celebrating at church, where Christians and other members of faith go, not at sporting events.

I have a real good friend and a family member who are gay, both who I love. I respect them and they respect me. They don't try and cram their thinking down my throat and vice versa. So why is it ok to have universities and pro teams do it?

Tebow was mocked for praying on the field, RG III was told to take off a pro Jesus shirt before an interview. The NFL was against their actions then yet when a player is dying on the field, it's ok with the NFL to want God to help. Funny how that works.

The ones wanting the immoral celebrations would be extremely upset if the PA at DKR asked that everybody held hands and said the Lord’s Prayer. I can guarantee you there’d  be lawsuits over that, but we are just supposed to stand there and be ok with those immoral celebrations.  No politics, just sports

Amen - it’s deeper than politics it’s spiritual warfare and the battle for souls to be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ

My statement was regarding a request for a "Christian pride day".  Not a "Christian pride day at a sporting event"

What was immoral about the celebration?  They displayed a flag that represented a community.  Were there immoral acts going on in the stand?  That would be a crime not a celebration.

So let's get rid of any celebration that doesn't involve sports.  Get rid of the national anthem and celebrating anyone on the court/field that doesn't have anything to do with sports, i.e. veterans.  The military serves for a political agenda and therefore fits the "No politics, just sports" mantra.

Or is it let's just eliminate the celebrations that you don't agree with...

My questions would be who made the decision the players or someone in admin with an agenda? Was there pressure applied to the players or were they allowed to decide without repercussions if or how they wanted to participate? The issue seems to be that if you object to this type of ceremony you are a bigot, filled with hate, or simply evil and yet opposing any Christian display is a right. Objecting or not participating is a right of every citizen and should be able to be voiced peacefully and without retribution or the price paid by veterans was in vain.

Shout out to Easttex who keeps trying to bring things back ti sports.

With Chris Jackson now hired, which WR(s) benefit the most from his coaching?  Worthy, JWhitt, Thompson?  Nothing against Marion, but I think player development will be better in the WR core.  I think technique will be better, routes will be crisper and hands better overall.  Biggest question mark is recruiting by Jackson, but that will come over time.

I think Sark and Banks will step in when a high priority player is targeted. For example, Sark is personally involved with the Hudson recruitment. I do agree with you that development will be much improved. NFL coaches dont need to be good recruiters, just good teachers and be able to relate. From all reports Jackson checks those boxes.

Good points. Former NFL coaches that have proven they can develop in the league tend to have high credibility with and beattentive to HS kids. That could offset some recruiting shortcomings by Jackson.
