Mitchell was primarily a backup the last two years and wasn't highly rated out of high school.  haven't watched any fill but will all the TEs we took, are we sure he is the best fit for the tall WR position?

Not true. Was a clear starter for them but ankle injury caused him to miss over 2 months this year. They know he’s a stud and don’t want to lose him.

Serious smoke about Georgia WR AD Mitchell entering portal.

IT has been hinting at the staff waiting for a couple of specific WRs to hit the portal. Evan Stewart is one. I don't know if Mitchell is another target, but interesting development. Of course Georgia has 48 hrs to change his mind if they really want him to stay.

Did you watch playoff games he played in this year? Doesn’t matter what he was rated in high school if he balled out in the CFB Playoffs

Today is the last day for players to enter the portal for this window,  so things should be clearer within the next few days. Also I would think not having a WR coach could be an issue for some of the WR portal targets.

Could this be the top WR we heard Texas was expecting to enter the portal - that we wanted - and that would transfer to Texas - and we all just assumed it was a player about 90 miles from campus??

By the way, players who apply to enter the portal today - the universities have 48 hours to actually do it, so January 20 would be the end of the first portal cycle.

He has a kid who lives in Dallas... the transfer (allegedly) is about getting closer to his kid.  Apparently he spent a year or two in Texas during his high school career.

If it's about his kid and he lives in Dallas, I would suspect smu and tcu to be in the hunt as well

Several Georgia outlets are reporting that Mitchell is in the portal.

According to one guy I take time to listen to, communication has been taking place so apparently a table has been set and all he has to do is show up for dinner.
