The eyes of Texas are upon the Texas Longhorns but the whole country is too all the live long Saturday.  So, my belief is that there has been added intensity in both the players and the coaching staff this whole week.  They all understand just how big this game is, from college game day, to recruits visiting, to beating the #4 ranked team in the nation.  My sense is that we will come out and finally fix our second half issues and prove we have exercised the demon.  In a game this big Sarkesian does not want to incur the storm that will be heaped upon him and this program should they blow another halftime lead.  I think the horns win 38-24.

I think that just shows we are close.

I hate to pick 1 play out of a game and say "could of" because it's a 60 min game. 1 failure on the first play of the game "could of" caused a ripple effect and who knows.

It's the blown 2nd half leads that concerns me. I think when you score 30+ points you should win a majority of those games. In my mind, it's the defense that is dragging us down to mediocrity.

I would say the 2nd half offense is what is mediocre.  The defense has to be outstanding in the 2nd half for us to win, Kst, Tech, Okst

2nd half pass offense - the blitz podcast talked about this today. Rushing yards don't fall off in the 2nd half, but the passing game does. Rod Babers also noted once again there are fewer offensive "cheat codes" being used in the 2nd half. 

Perhaps with some seasoning of offensive players, Sark feels more comfortable running the more complicated plays in the 2nd half going forward - and not just in the opening script.
