Back in January I said 8-4 or 9-3. Nothing changed my mind, even after the OU game. It's a young team, especially on offense, which means they're going to be inconsistent. Young teams struggle on the road, especially with (more or less) a true freshman at QB. That was Ewers' first true road game. Sure, I'm frustrated by that loss. But you have to expect to go through some growing pains with a young QB. We had to go through them with VY. We had to go through them with Colt.

Take a deep breath. Calm down. On to K-State.

lets put his career in context, the Washington Husky job was a dumpster fire, the USC job was pre Pete Carroll and Sark had a drinking problem and the AD was a popular USC hero that had no business in that position..

fast forward to Alabama....what was Alabama's record with Sark as their  OC, how many titles did they win, how many QB's did he coach that made it to the NFL (6) including  Carson Palmer that won the Heisman, how many RB's are now in the NFL, How many WR are in the NFL

it may take an entire career to even out his dismal record at Washington and USC
What is Alabama’s record the last 10 years excluding Sark as playcaller?

hes 10-10 at Texas.  That’s evening out things

I am always fascinated that people become so emotionally attached to coaches. This is not the University of Sark.   I root for Texas. Coaches come and go. The only constant is the university. My thought on coaches is simple. Win or GTFO. We will have a much better idea if Sark will make it very soon.

We all know the reason for the loss last week.  But I am wondering what the answers are for us on the road?  How can we maintain our lead?  The troubling thing to me is that I would have thought the remedies for this would have been addressed in the off-season.  Apparently not.  Is it possible that Sark just don’t have an answer for why we play so poorly on the road and  lose games that we really should be winning.  I am not a coach or really very deep into the weeds of football X’s and O’s other than my high school football knowledge.  Maybe the question can’t be answered or if it can no one on this staff knows what it is.

There’s something more here than growing pains.  Ewers overthrew 16 receivers in one game.  He misfired on 5 yard outs.  He wasn’t checking down and got rid of the ball the first sign of pressure.  Looked like a completely different player. I don’t have the answers - but it isn’t road jitters.

The idea that a game like that is to be expected is quite odd IMHO.

KState is 2 weeks away.  Players have to get ready for the next game.  Fans on a chat forum really don’t.

I don't lay all of that on Ewers. There were several passes that you're calling "overthrew" that were put in the one place it could be caught. Missing those is on Worthy, not Ewers.

If you will remember early in the game, Ewers got hit pretty good. Can't recall the name of the player that hit him but it was a good lick. Ewers was not the same after that play.

BTW, I'm not sure we even have 16 receivers. lol

Correct. His receivers didn’t exactly have a stellar performance.
