Nice outing for Hansen. Didn't think he'd be sent in there in the 9th. 

with little to no confidence in the pen, and with next weekend being an off weekend, I'd expect every starter to be pushed as far as possible this weekend.

Run rule in effect because of the double header? My understanding is it is always in effect for game 3 of the series.

He can, but he approached Pierce about being the solution in the bullpen, so we'll see

This was Game 2 of the series.  2nd Game of a Conference DH is apparently always eligible for the run rule.

I don't know if there's a true solution, but tomorrow we'll probably see Morehouse start on the mound.  Stevens is available for several innings out of the bullpen if necessary.

Much better weekend than the last one. A series win, and now need a sweep.

I guess the strikeouts were unacceptable, but if you go up to bat and can't trust the umps to call balls and strikes better. Then go down swinging instead of looking?
