The Horns head to San Marcos tonight to take on Texas State, and return to the Disch tomorrow to play them again.

All links to follow are in the tweet below.

I'm not 100% sure at this point what my status for game updates/tweets will be for tonight's match-up.  I will be on here at some point, but after being out of town for a few days, I have a few things on the docket around here that need to be done before I get to baseball.  We'll see how it pans out.

I should be all-in for tomorrow's game.

Faltine gets a 2-out 2-run HR in T2 to give the Horns a 2-0 lead.  That's where we sit thru 2 complete.

Hodo leadoff double, Kennedy ground out and Melendez SAC FLY combine to plate him.

Horns up 3-0 thru 2.5

Tx St gets 6 on the board after a solo Dinger, E7 and a Grand Slam, all with no outs.

Dre then sits down the next 3 batters in order.

Horns trail 3-6 thru 3

Horns answer in T4

Add 6 on a Titanic 3-run HR and some timely hitting.

Horns up 9-6 headed B4

B4

Dre tosses a 1-2-3 frame after giving up 6 last inning.

Horns up 9-6 thru 4

Dre has stays in the game for B5 and retires 1, gives up a single and that's all for him.

Cobb on to pitch.

TxSt gets one back, (charged to Dre,) and we end the 5th with Horns up 9-7

Horns strand a leadoff walk in T6

Horns up 9-7 headed B6

Horns retired in order in T7; lead 9-7

TxSt adds one in B7

Texas goes with Harrison on the hill, then brings in Nixon with 2 outs, runner on 1B in B8

Horns up 9-8 in B8

Nixon’s command has looked very shaky at times this year. Definitely something they need to get ironed out before conference play.

You don’t apologize for road wins against a team who should make a regional. Should be another interesting battle tomorrow.

Eckhardt works a 1-2-3 T1

Horns put up 2 on a Kennedy dinger in B1, but leave 2 RISP after chasing the starter.
