What is wrong with football team. One loss does not ruin the season. But IMO something is not right. Players wre hightly rated, and coaches have not forgoten how to coach.

Take OL coaching Wick was well thought of before Texas, Then came Hand same story. .Jury still out on Flood but he is not recruiting any better.

Maybe some of you have better ideas on what is wrong and maybe all is ok.

Could it be possible that transitioning from a new offensive and defensive scheme caused confusion and lack of focus under pressure in a very hostile environment?

We're all but hurt now, but let's wait a bit before we throw in the towel on this team and coaches.

They got their butts kicked in a hostile environment.  I’m interested to see how they bounce back next game and how they handle an angry road crowd next time.

It may be a bit early to think the sky is falling…

Don't know that a win over rice is a " bounce back" game.  The 3 weeks after that is what's going to make or break this season.

Beyond disappointed in the game plan an and in game"adjustments" that were made or not made. We all raved how this caching staff was different. That was Strong and Herman on the sideline last night.

Entitlement yes a problem Sure did not face adversety..

Next tough game TCU. Cockroaches are spoilers.

Not excusing last night's coaching performance but it does appear to me that the cupboard is not as well stocked as some of the rankings of recent recruiting classes would suggest. Worthy may be the most skilled WR, Bijan is certainly a stud, and Card maybe but how many on offense would be lock starters for other perennial powers. How many of our defensive 2 deep would be starters as they are performing now? There is talent but too many highly rated recruits in the past 10 years have either not been developed or were too highly rated to begin with.IMO.

Entitlement attitude for the team.
Professional quality facilities, chefs/nutritionists, academic coddling, designer suits, chartered flights, etc. spoil these guys completely. I don't know if player lifestyles are any different @ Arkansas and other SEC schools. Maybe Sark and his All-Star staff just ain't tough enough.

Too much Californication in ATX, IMO.

Andrej Karic should be starting at one of the tackle spots, for sure.
He is one of the few OL that seems to play with an attitude.

As for your earlier post with the video, maybe we need to purchase one of the types of buses on the movie Major League and let the players ride it to all the games in TX. I kid...sort of.

Are the two coaches that toughened up Macks team still around .OL has been a problem for 10 years or so. We all see problems can this staff fix them.

Both Angilau and Kerstetter are gimpy. I'm afraid to watch the "highlights" bc the right side of the O-Line probably got blown up. All five need more fight.

Somebody should've taken offense to the late hit on Card after the delay of game, but didn't.

Interesting take on Orangebloods about the culture. Read the Anwar thread in the Longhorn sports forum.

Not a subscriber, care to hit the highlights?
This is from the thread.

Quick quote. "I’m friends with the parents of one of our starting players and the external influences by activist professors is real. They are at every practice, hang out with them in the locker room, and they meet regularly with them outside of their football activities. This all started towards the end of Mack Brown’s tenure and has continued up until now."

Damn that Matthew McConaughey. Someone tell him to stay in the classroom. The football field is no place for his activism.
