SignUp Now!I've seen posts where people think we lost the next VY when Milroe flipped. JQJ is more of a VY type, IMO, but he's behind the eightball because of the knee.I think everyone is selling JQ Jackson short. Once healthy, he's going to be tough to beat. This guy is a winner. He's the type who can carry a team on his back, thrives under pressure.
Let's see how things shake out.
No doubt he’s a great athlete! I just think as for as polished passers Card is ahead of him out the gate, and the knee injury will widen the gap.I think everyone is selling JQ Jackson short. What's the scouting report on his ability to hold a clipboard.OrangeBloods reported last night that Texas has reached out to QB Maddox Kopp of Houston St. Thomas.
He is willing to give Texas a harder look with an offer, but he wants to make a decision on 9/1.

If Texas lands Kopp, it matches up with how 2002 played out with VY.What's the scouting report on his ability to hold a clipboard. To be fair Colt McCoy was a 3 star recruit that committed when we had a comminent from the number one QB at the time Ryan Perrilloux.
If Card doesn't put on some size they're going to break him in half.No doubt he’s a great athlete! I just think as for as polished passers Card is ahead of him out the gate, and the knee injury will widen the gap.
I think we’ll see what Herman and Yurcich’s plans are once the season hits. If you see Card play in enough games to not redshirt I think that means they’re getting him ready for next year.
Yes I belive Colt had that problem. If Card doesn't put on some size they're going to break him in half.
You don't always get to pass when you drop back. It will either be tragedy or opportunity with what results.
His goal is 215 lbs He has a year.If Card doesn't put on some size they're going to break him in half.

From what I’ve read he’s already put on some good weight. Texassports.com has him listed at 193. That’s up several pounds from HS already. In another year of a good S&C program he’ll be 205-210If Card doesn't put on some size they're going to break him in half.

His 247 profile had him at 179. He’s already up 14 by enrolling early. He may grow another 1/2 to 1” as well. He’ll be able to reach that by another yearHis goal is 215 lbs He has a year.
Maybe im not remembering correctly, but wasn't Shane Buechelle (sp) pretty slight when he came in and started? I don't know if he ever got to 200lbs his freshman year.If Card doesn't put on some size they're going to break him in half.

What happened to Shane Buechelle, who started during one of the weakest QB'ing periods in UT history? Shane had to leave to see the field. He did put on some pounds while he was here, but he was still slight when he left.Maybe im not remembering correctly, but wasn't Shane Buechelle (sp) pretty slight when he came in and started?
