If you don't have cable access to the Longhorn Network for this weekend's or any other Longhorn game, you can get a five day free trial on Playstation Vue.  You do not have to have a playstation console.  You can access Vue over your Roku or equivalent device.  Vue is equivalent in cost monthly to Hulu Plus or Sling TV, but the free five day trial is a good deal, plus you get access to LHN which the other online services do not provide.

try this....from the Astro site I follow ....this guy wrote...:

From a YouTube video, I found a website that offers free live sports on tv from anywhere in the country. You can catch any live sporting event (MLB, NCAA, NFL, NBA) on a streaming site but there are two tricks involved.

First, the web browser URL is www.sports24.club (yes, club, not com). From the home page, choose the sport you want then scroll the menu for the game you want (in some cases, you will have a choice of home team broadcast and away team broadcast). Scroll down and you'll see an ad that says "Watch Now" and "Download". DO NOT click either one! That's trick #2. Wait 30 seconds and the ad will be replaced with a "play" arrow. Click the arrow and your game will tune in. At least with MLB and possibly others, you can click a "full screen" icon in the bottom corner to see it on a bigger screen. It works even with my ad blocker but I was not able to cast it from my phone to a smart tv.

It will also access MLB Network, NFL Network, ESPN and Fox Sports channels.

Given this is the start of football season and the more meaningful part of baseball season, now is a good time to try it out as long as it lasts before somebody shuts it down.

I hear you have to be careful about clicking on any ads(malware)...anyway, maybe it helps someone...

I’ve gone the free stream route to watch live in the past, but it is has been hit or miss. But when I watch games on TV, I prefer to DVR  and watch with a delay so I can skip the commercials.

Last year I cut the cord and started using steaming services on AppleTV. I used YouTubeTV (good cloud DVR, not so good guide) until January and then cut it off, with an eye toward fall when I would restart it or use another service.

Since I don’t want to miss any UT football games and also enjoy watching Horns volleyball and basketball, I want to get a service with LHN and cloud DVR. So YouTubeTV is out.

It was a coin flip as of today so I signed up for Playstation Vue over AT&T Now. The cloud DVR code for PS Vue must have been written by aggy or ousucks because it is ATROCIOUS. It doesn’t allow recording a single episode or event. For example –in order to record the Texas game tonight, all NCAA football games will be recorded. Same goes for volleyball, or any show for that matter. My DVR list is gonna get very crowded with content of no interest to me.

I may ditch PSV and switch to AT&T Now at the end of the 5 day free trial. I guess I’ll do a bit more research to determine if their cloud DVR is better.

This is good to know. I was fixing to switch to PS Vue. Thanks!

I use Youtube TV and think it's a great service except the lack of LHN. I tried AT&T when it was Direct TV it wasn't too bad but the interface was no where near as clean and easy as YouTube
