2018 Recruiting Board/Thread

RHM was very pro Texas during his recruitment.  Suspended once I believe for breaking team rules but I always had the impression he loved it here.  Any idea why the transfer talk?

It must be something personal, I doubt it has anything to do with Texas in general.  It will be shame if we lose him.  He played great and was one my favorites.  Very quick on cuts and great hands.

Two things that have come up are a family related issue that is completely understandable and then there’s a maturity issue.

If RHM does transfer, Waddle should see that as a huge opportunity.  EJ doesnt sound optimistic on Waddle unless he UOV's.

With Foreman gone and if RHM does transfer we are going to be in trouble in the slot next year.

I’ll go on record and say there was many games I didn’t even notice Mapps....also will say I do NOT want to lose LJH. Kids beast mode

That’s because there were times he wasn’t in the rotation. Think it was a combination of his knee injury and off the field stuff going on because otherwise it didn’t make sense for him not to be out there.

Lawrence Keys should be getting s full court press the moment he arrives today. Stay closer to home and an avenue for PT from day one.

I have been reading that his mom is very I'll and he wants/ needs to be close to home, I will miss him

Agree, and you really need to have a good feel at the end of the weekend for where that is going to go. Otherwise, your sense of urgency with a player like Waddle jumps sky high.

Sorry to see RHM go. I wish him well wherever he lands. But I honestly thought he was going to be great in burnt orange. He has skills.

Tommy Bush may go down to NSD. Having to overcome some early mistakes. We're getting there, but aren't there yet.

The Vernon Jackson recruitment is likely to really heat up. I understand Bama is running out of spots (or has already). If so, it's dogfight between Texas and aggy.

So can Uncle Red pay a visit to Waddle?

I think Vernon Jackson taking a mid-week UOV to aggy and then an OV next weekend is a bad sign for us.

The news of RHM sucks, and he's one of my favorites so I personally would hate to lose him.  But I think we'll be fine at the slot.  What plagued our wr core last, or hamstrung it more imo wasn't the talent, but the utilization of said talent.  With that being said, I'm sure whoever we have at slot will be just fine.  Especially considering the coaching changes made; which I anticipate will lead to a true offensive identity allowing everyone to not only know their role but also excel in those roles.

The truth on RHM is that he had become a problem in the locker room and this exit was as much him being told to leave as it was him wanting to leave. I just learned this.

We don't currently have a true slot on the roster. LJH will do fine there for now, but Heard is the other option and though I like him, his routes suck and he isn't the type of athlete we want in the slot.

Funny. Waddle wanted to be the only slot take in our class. Remember that? Now, we could sell him on being the only slot on the whole roster.

Now this is about the opportunity of a door knocking now.. There's not going to be any good nights rest now

With Bush Texas will have to overcome not recruiting him as hard as other schools. I don’t fault the kid for making the staff work in that regard.

Jackson’s recruitment is going to be interesting because there are rumors swirling Bobby Brown might not qualify.

Good post right here.

If any of our WRs transferred out and gave as a reason the head scratching player rotation / playing time at that position, I'd shrug my shoulders and nod my head.

I am hearing that RHM was poisoned by Foreman Daddy. Anyone else hearing that?

IT is reporting that Meekins moving to coaching inside receivers has ended the talks of RHM and Lil'Jordan looking to transfer.
Thanks for sharing. Can you or anyone else refresh my memory what position Meekins was coaching with any other coaching shuffling? Thanks in advance.
