I've been told there is a certain 5* defensive player the coaches are a little less than impressed with. That is to say there is a backup they are more impressed with.

Do not be surprised if the stud 5* is benched along the way.  The first two games will be the litmus test on whether he continues to start.  And maybe less time than that/

Jefferson maybe.... There has been very little mention of him in reports.

I can't think of many 5 stars on defense besides Jones.

I guess we'll find out who shows up once the lights come on.

Got to be Jefferson. Only other would be Brandon Jones as far as 5 stars on the defense. Amiright?

I don't know where you got the elephant in the room. Elephant in the room  is an English-language metaphorical idiom for an obvious problem or risk no one wants to discuss.

No one is discussing this because no one knew about it.

Malik has been moved to pass rusher (SAM) who's behind him? I thought G. Johnson natural position is MLB (reminds me of Ruben Foster former ILB for tide).

Taquam Graham?

The great thing about sports is that it doesn't matter what people think. When you get your opportunity prove people wrong! Use the doubts as motivation and go get yours. Either you do or you don't. He's not young and inexperienced anymore. No excuses. The film doesn't lie. For me, I hope he has an awesome year and lives up to that 5 star ranking.

From everything we hear Orlando's defense puts people in the right spots, we'll definitely know who deserves to be on the field soon.

Can't wait.

Its been discussed - often.  And the risks and problems as well.

This is the key.  Its been said this guy has been out of position for two years.  Well, Herman put him in the proper position this year and.....McCulloch has really looked good.

The elephant that your talking about has not been a five star player since he's been here and last year. I not concerned since during the past week Herman has praised and has said the defense is going to be good this year. I want a top 25 defense every year. Every NC team except one has had a top 25 defense.

I found this article and I think I will just post it here.

UT’s Malik Jefferson has not quite lived up to hype

If he has looked so good and Malik so bad then why isn't he already starting?

I don't think the coaches are willingly starting an inferior player. 0 reason to do that.

What's the point in waiting? 🙄

Don't ask me, ask the coaches.  I'm just telling you what I heard.
