Just read that Herman interviewed all coaches, none will be retained

As expected. I was hoping Traylor would be kept on somehow. I hate to see him move to ATM and be a thorn in our side for East Texas recruits.

Agree on Traylor as a solid recruiter, but never heard much about his actual coaching success at Texas. Any thoughts?

Traylor was instrumental in Brandon Jones but if I have to choose between Tim Brewster or Traylor I will take Brewster all day long.

It will suck if traylor ends up at agland

I've known Traylor for quite some time when I was at Gilmer. His big success was revitalizing the Gilmer program to three state titles. He's very well respected in the East Texas area. It's going to be interesting how this is going to play out Having said that I got a funny feeling two things might happen. 1. Another high school might offer him a big contract as AD or head coach. Or 2 . Aggies might consider opening up there pocket book to offer him. If and I do mean a big IF A&M comes knocking his door, look out

Things are about to get quite damn interesting on the recruiting trail

When ATM left the BIG XII and TCU was added Texas had 5 schools in the P5 conferences for the first time. Now, with Baylor in purgatory and Houston, the only non-Power 5 state school to successfully compete for Texas high school recruits, without a rudder, Texas is basically back to having 4 schools in the P5 recruiting wars: Texas, ATM, TCU & Tech. That alone could improve the hauls of each school by 20%.
