I looked through his twitter, and best i could tell is that he is in the shoe business

I know he also coaches as well. A friend of mine knows him well.

Regardless of how next season plays out, getting CS was a great move by UT, we are gonna have some talent man, two deep classes back to back , and he's getting players that have that dog eat dog mentality, as a Texas fan u gotta love the man. I don't think he's too far fetched when he's telling these kids that we will win the conference, think about it

I agree I hope Strong works out but if he does not the next coach will be in good shape.

I'm all but certain he rights the ship and has a good run at Texas.  I've been in the year three to see real progress boat from day one...This place was an f'ing dumpster fire!

What type of crow is that? For winning 7-8 games?  Now if we win the Big 12 yeah I'm with you. I hope we're not celebrating winning 7-8 games.

Credit to Patterson?

The 2015/2016 will be the foundation.  Start winning, then get to pick in the future among high-4 stars (statistically the best group) and 5-stars.  Charlie's program and his core values are not for everyone.  But that's OK since we dont need everyone.  We will get plenty enough.  I think we all have some version of this future playing in ours heads right now.

But, again, for me the most remarkable part of this story is the loyalty of his own players, the ones he recruited.  They have really gone to bat for him.  The 2015s have played a huge role in the recruitment of the 2016s.  I am sure all those guys love this program, they love the school and they love the idea of staying in and representing the state of Texas.  But the biggest factor of all is how they feel about Strong.  They seem to each have taken a personal stake in him winning.  They dont just want him to succeed, they want him to win AT Texas.  This is a big deal to them.

I have always been a fan of personally witnessing history.  The trick to that is recognizing it at the time it is happening.  I think this is that time.  I think in the future, we will all be looking back to this period as the pivot.  Look, it's only a college football program, its not world peace or whatever.  But it's our program and if you are here now, you obviously care a lot about it.  So, dont forget to enjoy it and let the memories soak in and get implanted in your brain.
