Devwah Whaley's official to Arkansas ... hmmmmmmmm

Devwah Whaley made an official visit to Arkansas, as the Hogs lost their third home game to an unranked opponent this season, 51-50 to Mississippi State tonight. Hogs blew a fourth quarter lead. How might that bode for Texas in landing this prized recruit?

The HC is a jerk. Hopefully, Whaley will notice.

Arkansas fans believed this would be the year of the Hog and honestly I thought so too.  They have talent, play hard but Bielema just cannot get them over that hill that puts them living in a world of 10 wins or better and being stuck in the world of 7 or 8 wins and talking about next year ( I know I know what Texas record is right now). Bielema is in the hot seat right now and trust me it has smoke coming from it.  He might not get the chance for 2016 is my feelings.

Donot look now but the jerk has a better record than strong.

Well, thats one way of looking at it.

Another way would be, Arkansas starts off ranked, now fights to get into a furniture bowl after being predicted to contend for the SEC West title.

And better yet, Whaley sees that Arkie couldn't close a 4th qtr lead . . . at home.

Enema wasn't rebuilding, it just looks like it.

Yes. Against the exact same teams with the exact same players on the exact same days.

It's a good thing football is a static sport - that way we can measure all things equally. Makes it easier.

this is also BB's 3rd year so maybe peeps are in agreement that Strong gets that 3rd year when his touted freshmen are sophs.  Plus, if Strong beats TT isn't that a win win for Strong against a team that beat Arkie?

He said some positive things to an Arkansas writer after the visit. I still think he ends up at Texas at the end of the day.

Actually, to quote Goslin, I mean Kingsbury, TT "kicked Arkansas' ass."

IMHO, this kid wants to go OOS even if that means simply crossing the border to Fayettenam.  I wouldn't mind the surprise, but I think this kid goes to Arkansas.

You could be on to something there. Or on something.

Seriously, you may be right - he's been a bit... odd thoughout his recruitment. Nothing wrong with that, though.

They may be trying to sell DW on the fact that most of the girls in Arkansas are looking forward to dating outside the family once they get to college.

How will the firing of Georgia coach Mark Richt affect the verbal committment of Devwah Whaley? I still think Arkansas is where he will end up. I think he'd have a hard time getting playing time here with Foreman and Warren next season. At Arkansas he'd be THE MAN next season with Collins likely declaring for the NFL Draft, and their other RB's football career maybe over after the neck injury. I'd love to see Whaley on the 40 Acres, but I don't think it will happen.
