....are you taking the over or under? Tell us why...

"Push" is not a valid answer here! (My question = my rules!)

Man, I can't even take an educated guess. Too many unknowns, but having said that, if 18 has truly become 'the man' instead of a scared kid and if the lights come on early for some of the freshmen who will be depended on to contribute, this team could be much better than any of us thought.

My head tells me under. Too many questions and a young team. My heart tells me over. Getting good vibes about this team and I bleed Burnt Orange.

Over..we won 6 last year with no OL, unexpected attrition, inexperienced QB play and many players who didnt give a damn win or lose (lack of effort)

8 even 9 wins is definitely doable.

Over. I say that with great hesitancy. OU and West Virginia are obviously the big question marks for our season. I have us dropping games to Notre Dame, TCU and Baylor.

Rice, Cal, Okie State, K-State, Iowa St, Kansas and Tech are all beatable. Cal is the biggest concern I have of that group. That brings us to 7-3.

I truly believe that Texas can beat Oklahoma this year. I honestly think it will come down to where we are at Quarterback by then and how the Offensive Line will have settled in. West Virginia has the ability to knock us off but I have zero belief in the Mountaineer defense. This game comes down to how well our defense can play and how many times our offense shoots itself in the foot. But I really like are odds in this one.

9-3 is obtainable. We could even surpass. But all it will take is errant play at QB and O-line again to send us right back down to a six win season.

Under

I've been saying 7-5 for weeks now, but if this uninspiring record includes no embarrassing losses like BYU, Baylor, TCU, and Arky last year - I'll consider it a net gain. I just want to see this young team compete and improve every week. Finishing the season off with an inspiring bowl win will help us gain momentum for 2016.

Okay, RD

How much did you bet on the under? Just curious
My guess last year was 6 wins and I was mocked as a troll on this board. My guess again this year is 6 wins. Shawn Watson simply does not have the ability to scheme against legitimate P5 programs. He doesn't have it. Until Charlie Strong is willing to fire him (hopefully midseason) the program is either going to suffer or have to replace the head coach. When Strong was hired, we were told he had an open checkbook to bring in the best coordinators he could find. Well, get ready for season two under Shawn Watson and tell me as we go along what the weakness of the team is.

Shawn Watson doesn't deserve to be the OC at Texas when the team takes the field against Notre Dame.

I say wins against Rice, Cal, Ok St, TTech, Kansas, Kan St, Iowa St, and 1 against either WVA or Ok.

Losses against Notre Dame, TCU, Baylor, and 1 against either Ok or WVA.

So, I say over with 8 wins and 50/50 on the bowl game.

I would say push if legal and you count the bowl game. Since it isn't legal, I will lean over. We can beat ND and OU or both.

West Va. is the one to watch out for.

I'll take the over, I think we can upset two out of four of ND, TCU, OU, BU. Most likely ND and OU. Also a bowl win, I could see the wins push into the 9-10 range.

I know, pipe dream. But let me have this.

My head says under. My heart says over. So if we are talking about money I'm going under. If we are talking about Shiner Bock I'm saying over. By the way, you did not answer your own question. 😎

No one expected TCU to be as good as they were last season. With improved OL and QB play we could be a 10 win team.

I'm thinkin' along the same lines - OU and @ WVU are the swing games.
