One more interesting subplot of tonight's game:

The spot for the third weekend starter is not firm in the coaches' minds. At the moment, Josh Sawyer is trending down & Connor Mayes is trending up. That makes Kacy Clemens' start tonight very interesting..

Clemens certainly gave the coaches more to consider tonight with his inconsistency.

It would go against Augie & Skip's tendencies to throw Mayes straight into the weekend rotation. But it wouldn't surprise me at all if he starts against Texas State next week.

Augie is previewing the KSU series for media tomorrow. I'm sure he'll discuss plans.
