2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Tidbits from an FSU recruit blogger - from July 31, 2014:

Florida State recruiting: Will FSU really sign 3 quarterbacks?

By Bud Elliott ï˜‘ @SBNRecruiting on Jul 31 2014,

"Yes, Florida State really could sign all three quarterbacks.  It may have doubted that the third would jump on board once the second had committed (and I am skeptical that they knew Locksley would jump on board just an hour before Francois), but it had a plan for this. ... FSU would accept the commitments.

I'd be surprised if all three stick with their current commitments to Florida State. Not shocked, but surprised.

Jax Seminoles @RealJaxNoles

In the last hour, We repeat HOUR, Jimbo Fisher and staff have pulled in two 4* Qbs in @LOCKSnLOADED_3 & @Deondre_3.

Loooooong way till Signing Day folks. And Locksley might be more ATH than QB. Still highly unlikely all three sign with FSU in Feb. #Noles

They all come with legitimate questions. People wonder if Francois will continue to develop better touch and feel for the passing game, whether Johnson is close to being maxed out physically, or if Locksley can even play QB in FSU's pro-style system, given how raw he is as a passer at the moment (many believe he is a better receiver or safety prospect, as evidenced by his "athlete" tag)."

Update - Jan 26, 2015

Florida State signed J.J. Cosentino in 2014, a strong-arm pro-style passer.

FSU needed to take two QBs in this 2015 class.

The other detail here is that FSU secured a commitment from 2016 QB Malik Henry, one of the best in the country. Committed (11/13/2014

Henry has transferred from California to IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL and is considered one of the top recruits in the country. Will that knowledge weigh on the minds of any of the 2015 players? We'll have to wait and see.

For the folks laughing about TCU, take a look at their 2016 class. TCU and Baylor are starting to reap the benefits of their success, and I'm interested to see if their momentum continues past junior day into NSD 2016.

Are we 100% sure?

As long as he doesn't say 8.5 out of 10.

I'd welcome Brewer back with open arms and a scholarship if he wants to come back. Doing so would allow Heard to start, give him a veteran backup in Brewer, allow Texas to move Swoopes to 3rd string Emergency QB &TE, and allow Locksley the redshirt he'll desperately need.

I say again - I don't know who people think Texas is going to get as a grad transfer - but if you think it's going to be a highly successful and experienced 5th year Senior - you need to wake the hell up. What they need is a smart guy 'veteran' who can work with Heard in the meeting rooms and on the field and who can come in to the game in an emergency and be prepared. That's Brewer. He's all but admitted that leaving was a mistake - and I imagine he's grown from it.

FWIW - apparently there is a video that accompanies the Blake Munroe article - shows Brewer in Spring ball playing against Arizona's first string defense. He looks pretty good.

For anyone that cares - brisket and pork butt are on the smoker - should be ready right about at kick-off.
im actually bbqing some ribs and chicken with my homemade bbq sauce and im gonna be making some cornbread and believe it or not some canadians up here do not know what cornbread is

Welp, looks like another scholly opened up.

Do we need another DB to replace Johnson? Maybe another DL would be a better choice? Save it for a graduate transfer QB?

Possible QB transfer - Eastern Michigan QB Reginald Bell
Has Bell already completed his undergraduate degree ala Miller, Brewer, and Adams? If not, he's of no use to us. We need somebody who can compete and play in 2015
