Congrats to Cedric, he played a helluva game!

Cedric Reed was named the Athlon National Defensive Player of the Week for his impressive performance in Saturday's 33-16 victory over No. 24/25 West Virginia.

The senior defensive end was credited with a season-high 12 tackles, including four for a loss and a career-best 3.0 sacks. He also had a forced fumble of QB Clint Trickett and was credited with a safety.

Reed went beastmode in the win over West Virginia.  That sort of play was the expectation for Reed every game.  Let's see if he follows it up with similar play vs. Ok. State on Saturday.

I saw somewhere that he has been playing the 5 tech all year, until this game.  That is a pretty thankless position, yes?
