Does Jake Oliver project as a possession, third down type receiver or will he command more playing time? Possible hybrid/TE position if McFarland and company don't step up their games? I've heard Shipley is fully healthy and ready to roll, expecting a great season if he has a QB to get him the ball.

We all realize the momentum that could be created by the pledge of Malik Jefferson. But is he a Derrick Johnson-type difference maker at the position?

How good is this defensive line? Is this the best since Hampton-Rogers?

Q  does anyone have a clue as to just what is going on with daylon mack?  why can't this guy just be happy as per his commitment to aTm?  why oh why.. does it seem that he is always hovering over the 40 acres like a shell shocked bumblebee interfering in our recruitment business?  to my knowledge, no one is bothering this man's honey. therefore, why can't mr. mack the bee, just be happy and accept his commitment (fate) to aTm and back away from our recruits?  just what is this man looking vs waiting for? isn't this quite sad....

Q  just the other day, i referenced an account as per a poster upon the OB.. stating that "he had a bit of serious inside information regarding coach strong, along with his staffers have indeed put forth a few request to the powers that be at bellmont, regarding facility upgrades.  it seems that many of the position coaches have become a bit tired of their many recruits bragging constantly about the many construction projects that are ongoing at many of the competing universities.  it was also stated that the coaches are hereby awaiting information back regarding proposed budgets vs funding mechanisms etc.."  does anyone of our FOB's have any current facilities information?

Q  throughout the last few day's.. in lieu of the UTL vs big 12 media day's, there has been a race towards information the likes that some of us have not seen for quite some time.  it has certainly become quite evident, that many of the LONGHORN NATION website / forum stalwarts, are now getting into high gear vs season form.. in order to increase their overall forum stature vs membership.  what forms or plans vs propositions, does HS have in place to compete with the other sites for which shall enhance vs grow our membership?  since a few of us HS members are indeed also members of many of the other site's.. are you gearing up to reach out to some of us to help our burgeoning cause.  i would love it!

Q  now that the gridiron season is fast approaching, wouldn't it be a great idea to commission some really cool burnt orange HS T-SHIRTS featuring our newest HS logo?  i think that a great idea would be to place these hot items within this site's "cart".. so that we could purchase them at will.  but with one major caveat.. there must be an inclusion of larger sizes.  not just (s, m, and l)  we are talking some (xxl vs 3xl vs 4xl) for our bigger members.  what do you say aaron / matt?

Frivolity aside, I do have a couple of questions:

1.  I heard a rumor that Patterson is amiable to the idea of a uniform change (part of his Texas brand campaign).  Any info from your side?  If so, this idea needs to be attacked with the fury of a thousand Bengal tigers that have just sat in fire ant mounds.

2.  What is the latest on a new basketball arena and where will it be?

3.  What's going on with Crossfire?  Darrell, has the new regime cost you a Bellmont contact or two, or have they gone into bunker mode?

I'm sure they will answer but per one of the players dad's who's son is very close to Jake .. . YES .. 

He uses his body like a basketball player blocking out, he is not blazing fast but runs great routes and catches everything around him.

And yes to the "flex" role though he's likely not going to be able to pack enough weight to be a true TE. . . . definite red zone weapon

Eric Huhn- where is he after a rehab year? Chances of cracking the two deep? Deondre Davis? Is he way behind with his rehab, or not jumping on board with Strongs mantra? Seems to be lost in the shuffle at this point.
