    2024 Recruiting Board/Thread

I was told the exact thing by one of Surratt’s closet friends. He was not used to the work and expectations that it takes to be a Carthage Bulldog.

Not surprised on this with Hampton. There seems to be some drama around Hampton and the mom. He left Daingerfield in the summer and was enrolled in Carthage. Went back to Daingerfield before school when things didn’t work out at Carthage.

    2025 Recruiting Board/Thread

Lance Jackson is more coordinated and athletic than his brother Landon. Lance played baseball and looked like a baseball player. Landon never looked comfortable playing baseball when he played. I could see Lance playing TE in college. The Henderson kid from Gilmer can fly. PG has some fast kids...

I agree. Just because you win in HS does not mean it will transition to the next level. You must be able to recruit and connect with people. I have listened to Traylor, McGuire, PJ Fleck, and some others. They are all about relationships.

Not directed at Sark, but their are some HS coaches in Texas that are better than some coaches in college. Coaching has changed over the years. You hear more about the relationship aspect more so now than you did 20 years ago. Coaches and athletes have changed. Coaches must have the ability to...

I have seen several comments about getting beat by a HS coach. Joey McGuire is not chopped liver. He won 3 out of the 4 state championship games at Cedar Hill. He learned a lot from Matt Rhule. The guy can motivate and coach. Tech had no business winning that game but he had those guys believing...

What is wrong with Horns football?

This is from the thread. Quick quote. "I’m friends with the parents of one of our starting players and the external influences by activist professors is real. They are at every practice, hang out with them in the locker room, and they meet regularly with them outside of their football...

Interesting take on Orangebloods about the culture. Read the Anwar thread in the Longhorn sports forum.

    2021 Recruiting Board/Thread

No one knows why he has not pulled the trigger to OU. Marcus plans to graduate in December. So wherever he lands, he can rehab at the school. I know OU has already told him that. As far as Aggy, I am not sure what happened with Jackson, Aggie coaches, and the PG coaching staff. The last thing I...

    2021 Recruiting Board/Thread

Sorry, I have not checked the board in a few days. Torrey Phillips is a “diamond in the rough”. I think he has the best feet of all the big men on the PG team. For a kid his size, he can handle the basketball really well. To me, he projects as an offensive tackle. I know Kansas has already told...

Achilles I was told. It happened in the last 10 minutes of the workout. He was running when it happened. I hate it for him and the team.

I was told last night that he was going to OU.

    2021 Recruiting Board/Thread

Texas just needs to continue to build upon the already established relationships with the PG staff. After this 2021 group leaves, there is still some D1 talent coming. They are just young at this point.
