    *****GAME THREAD: No.7 Texas Longhorns vs. BYU Cougars*****

    Let me set your mind at ease. Consider this - in order to struggle in the red zone you have to get into the red zone. By anyone's metric that is where every team that plays football wants to be. The reason being is that in the red zone you have choices - kick a field goal or go for the TD...

    The Common Man Prediction Thread – Mormon aggy

    A famous UT coach once said, "All "potential" means is you haven't done it yet".

    The Common Man Prediction Thread – Mormon aggy

    Let me say this to the board. My football experience ended with me playing football in high school. I am literally an arm chair QB, so my opinions are just that - opinions based on emotions, observations and, rarely, common sense.

    The Common Man Prediction Thread – Mormon aggy

    IMO, and in the opinion of more than few powers-that-be, we already have a juggernaut. At least talent wise.

    The Common Man Prediction Thread – Mormon aggy

    Maybe. We'll see. In 2021 would coach Boom's defense been the worst in the history of UT football? Just saying our defensive coaches were overwhelmed, disorganized and clueless. Sure, the players were not elite, but they were D-1 recruits and they were at Texas. We weren't Abilene Christian...

    The Common Man Prediction Thread – Mormon aggy

    Sark has had problems himself, i.e. red zone offenses. That being said, in order to have these problems means you are IN the red zone and that ain't bad On the other hand, not understanding an opponents half time offensive adjustments and/or not knowing how to defensively adjust yourself is...

    The Common Man Prediction Thread – Mormon aggy

    Starting in 2021, a discerning football enthusiast will observe our defensive staff being out coached time and again. This was glaringly obvious in the UH game. The defense, on the other hand, has looked elite - even though sporadically. But mostly because our talent simply overwhelmed our...

    2024 Recruiting Board/Thread

    One good source told me that aggy is paying recruits to visit. This makes sense if you understand aggy has no scruples or morals. Imagine a school so desperate to win and, particularly, to top the Longhorns, that they would be willing to pay a coach $75M GUARANTEED to win and to beat us. Their...

    September Landscapes – A Month of Transition

    I sold my house in Katy and Momma and I have taken permanent residence just outside Brenham.  It appears my yard here has an infestation of chinch bugs.  The yard is watered daily and the St. Augustine that isn't infested is green and healthy.  I think my yard man from Brenham has been bringing...

    Longhorns -> SEC

    By-the-way, all the absolutes I post are strictly my opinion.  Thass all.

    Major was not a good QB.  Colt sure was.

    Longhorns -> SEC

    The SEC is not expanding now or in the near future.  Why would they?  I have said many times - follow the money. Everyone needs to put on their thinking caps and unencumber themselves with the idea that the media does in any way care about the fans.  Only in the fans ability to pay money for...

    Longhorns -> SEC

    IMO, the key to the Longhorn team this year is the OL.  And, friends, we are LOADED at this position.  We literally have savages there. Barring injuries, we will bully more than a few teams. The last time I saw a OL this good is when Casey Studdard played - we won a natty that year.
