First bowl game I ever attended was the Texas-Navy Cotton Bowl on Jan 1, 1964. Awesome.
Also, Bluebonnet, the Miami Cotton Bowl (ugh), Texas- Alabama Cotton Bowl (Robert Brewer game).

I just finished "Natchez Burning" and you cannot put it down. It is the first of a trilogy, btw. Iles is one of my favorites along with Baldacci and John Sandford.
It will be interesting to follow Strong and Franklin's careers going forward. Both going from "lesser" schools to iconic programs. Each the first black coach to the football program. Both starting behind the 8 ball: Franklin with the Sandusky hangover and Strong with a roster that has many...
