WEEK 11 – Hornsports Pick'em

After several weeks of very competitive match-ups, we run into one of those weeks with fewer significant match ups. Now every game is important right now, but the ranked vs ranked games we've enjoyed so far is slowing down this week.

Some of these games pair some teams not in the top 25, but these match ups should be competitive. Good luck to you all.

#5 Georgia (7-1) at Mississippi State

#8 BYU (8-0) at #9 Texas Tech (8-1)

#3 Aggy (8-0) at #19 Missouri (6-2)

#6 Oregon (7-1) at Iowa (6-2)

Kansas (5-4) at Arizona (5-3)

Iowa State (5-4) at TCU (6-2)

LSU (5-3) at #4 Alabama (7-1)

Nebraska (6-3) at UCLA (3-5)

Navy (7-1) at #10 Notre Dame (6-2)

Florida State (4-4) at Clemson (3-5)

TIE BREAKER – Predict the score of the BYU at Texas Tech game.
 
#5 Georgia (7-1) at Mississippi State - The Georgia Bulldogs last tune up before the Texas game. The other Bulldogs will start another losing streak.

#8 BYU (8-0) at #9 Texas Tech (8-1) - The game the Big 12 has been waiting for. I would like BYU to win this one but I think they come up short of $28 million and lose this one. They may get a rematch in the CCG.

#3 Aggy (8-0) at #19 Missouri (6-2) - If only the paper Tigers were for real. But this is November, so you never know, but I'm goin with the aggies.

#6 Oregon (7-1) at Iowa (6-2) - This could be a playoff knock out game for the loser. I don't think the Hawkeyes have the fire power to win this game. The Ducks win this one.

Kansas (5-4) at Arizona (5-3) - Both teams need this one for a chance at being bowl eligible. The Wildcats may have a little trouble with the Jayhawks but should win this one.

Iowa State (5-4) at TCU (6-2) - The Cyclones have lost 4 in a row. Tack on #5 and another coach on the hot seat.

LSU (5-3) at #4 Alabama (7-1) - Give the points and Bama still wins running away.

Nebraska (6-3) at UCLA (3-5) - What!?! Believe it or not, the Bruins may not be in the hunt for a bowl game, but they are still in the hunt for the CCG. Well, technically at least. Until the Cornhuskers finish with them.

Navy (7-1) at #10 Notre Dame (6-2) - "Dive! Dive! Dive!". The Midshipmen go under again.

Florida State (4-4) at Clemson (3-5) - At the beginning of the season, I thought the winner of this game would meet Miami for the CCG. To say this has been a disappointing season for all 3 teams or maybe is just my predictions. First one to 40 wins this barn burner. I'll go with the hottest coach's seat.

FYI, Nebraska just lost their starting QB (Raolia) for the season. Can't remember if it was a broken arrm, leg, or hand.
 
#5 Georgia (7-1) at Mississippi State – The MSU bulldogs really should have beat us in our game. Last week, they got a win. Georgia is looking past them to the Texas game. Upset special.

#8 BYU (8-0) at #9 Texas Tech (8-1) – I relunctantly choose Tech because it's a home game for them.

#3 Aggy (8-0) at #19 Missouri (6-2) – If aggy is playing to their standard so far, I like their chances even though I want to puke after picking them.

#6 Oregon (7-1) at Iowa (6-2) – Upset special. Like PTA said, "upset weekend." Iowa plays good defense. It's a home game. Oregon traveling across the country again, late in the season.

Kansas (5-4) at Arizona (5-3) – Zona cause they'll fairly evenly matched but this is a home field advantage for the Cats.

Iowa State (5-4) at TCU (6-2) – There's always a chance the Cyclones decide to play their ass off "for coach" with his seat getting a little warm. But TCU is tough to beat at home and is playing good football.

LSU (5-3) at #4 Alabama (7-1) – There's a chance Bama doesn't take this game so seriously now that LSU has fallen apart. But it won't matter. Bama in a rout.

Nebraska (6-3) at UCLA (3-5) – I like UCLA because they've improved and beaten some notable teams of late. Nebraska lost Raola to a broken bone so their offense will sputter a little, especially on the road.

Navy (7-1) at #10 Notre Dame (6-2) – I hate the Irish. But they'll win at home.

Florida State (4-4) at Clemson (3-5) – FSU pulls off the upsett, if it is an upset. Dabo gets fired in the days following. Clemson just seems snake bit right now. FSU QB Castellanos is playing better after a mid season slump.

It was a pretty good week for some of our members. This week we had two members score 1 miss each to tie for. first place. Hookemhorb and Baron each had one miss. Although neither one of them were very close to the actual score of the game, Baron was closest by a slim margin.

Congratulations to Baron for winning the Week 11 Hornsports Pick'em! For his efforts, Baron gets a life time supply of Limburger cheese!
