Next two weekends will be huge. Texas A&M and then Arkansas. If we can keep ourselves in a good position in the SEC after those two we have a good path to close things out. A struggling Florida team and a middle of the road OU team.

Schloss has said that it doesn't seem to be anything major. He noted that his fastball MPH was way down, more like 91-92 and not 97 and that is what made him and Weiner think something was up.

That is the second time this season that they have pulled a pitcher based on concern about their velocity being down. I don't think I have heard of that much before. Seems like a good thing to pay attention to and intervene early before a major issue does arise.

Back in the day, I was a pretty decent pitcher. Gus once scouted me. But I remember a couple of games back then where my fast ball was just off. I never could explain it.
