SignUp Now!He’s not getting penalized for that. He’s penalized because 6’ 4” is short for an NFL tackle. About 2 to 3 inches shorter than average. He’s more the height of an interior lineman. What's kind of ironic about this is that Kelvin Banks got penalized for not blocking well enough for a QB who had below-average pocket presence/awareness (see article in post above). In one of the Georgia games, rather than staying in the pocket, Quinn scrambles right into the pass rusher Banks is blocking and the sack allowed gets attributed to Banks. There have been too many instances where Quinn would have benefited of just staying in the pocket or even just stepping up and then making the throw.
Texans! They are pegging him as a guard instead of tackle. He tested average athletically at the combine and moving inside to guard the game is sped up and they worry about him getting beat since she showed after 2 seconds he can get beat (in college). Guards aren’t at the same premium as tackles.
If he falls to the 20s, someone is going to get a great deal.
The OT from Missouri is projected to go in the top 10 and he's 6' 4" also....He’s not getting penalized for that. He’s penalized because 6’ 4” is short for an NFL tackle. About 2 to 3 inches shorter than average. He’s more the height of an interior lineman.
But the Missouri tackle outweighs him by 20 lbs and beat him in all the combine events. Missouri guy ran a 4.9 40 to Banks 5.1. If you are shorter than average tackle you’ve got to be a better athlete. The OT from Missouri is projected to go in the top 10 and he's 6' 4" also....
People are about to get caught up in the measurements and times and miss out on a generational talent at Tackle. The most important thing to judge, the tape. Dude has shut down so many 1st round edges in college, yet people are convincing themselves he won't be able to do the same in the pros. But the Missouri tackle outweighs him by 20 lbs and beat him in all the combine events. Bingo. He has 3 years of tape and started as a true freshman.People are about to get caught up in the measurements and times and miss out on a generational talent at Tackle. I don't think it has been mentioned here but Blue discussed a groin strain/tear that he was dealing with at the combine. Nice to see him bounce back with a much better time.40 times from the pro day.
Jaydon Blue 4.28
Isaiah Bond 4.34
According to Bobby Burton the starters on the offensive line from left to right are Goosby, Neto Umeozulu, Hutson, DJ Campbell and Baker. Brooks, Kibble, Chatmon and Cojoe are also in the mix.
tu, get it? The slur they have used against us for years.

The most dangerous thing an aggy does is think.
