While I am disappointed I am so glad that the Longhorns won the Big12 and settled all family business with the teams that have been riding our coat tails for so long and the fans that have been insufferable. We got our revenge! Now moving to the SEC presents us with new challenges but the program is trending in the right direction and I do feel that we are set up for long term success. Congratulations to the players, coaches, and everyone that worked on behalf of making the Longhorns relevant again.

Christian Jones was a big liability tonight in pass pro. The oline is much better but not dominant yet.
We must get more speed at safety. I can’t fault our CB’s last night. Penix threw the ball incredibly well and their WR’s were money. It might have helped if we could have gotten pressure from the outside but we could never get home.
The program is definitely on track for long term success. If our young guys step up we will be one of the top teams in the SEC next year.
We will win a natty within the next 3 years.

I am disappointed but we are headed in the right direction after a decade of mediocrity.

We do need to address some issues with pass defense but we got beat by one of the best pass offenses I have seen this year. Amazingly we were still in a position to win at the end.

We didnt have a great offensive showing and Ewers, in my opinion, seemed very average with poor throws and passes batted down. He tripped on himself running on a scramble. Just seemed awkward or maybe after watching Penix throw dimes everywhere made Ewers appear worse. Its not all on Ewers obviously. Worthy had a big drop in his hands and was MIA the rest of the game. We killed ourselves with penalties and turnovers. We just never seemed to get into rhythm until late in the 4th
