*****GAME THREAD – No.2 Texas vs. No. 5 Georgia*****

The clemson kicker just hit a 56 yd field goal. He should give auburn lessons.
He was a top ranked kicker out of HS as was Georgia’s. Not that we are ever focused on kicker rankings on here but Auburn wasn’t ranked at all. Hopefully we can get a really good one for next year in the portal then through recruiting the following year.

I guess Kern was high? Top 10 kicker?

I am not gonna whine about missed calls or play calling or anything else. Sometimes you just tip your cap to the other guy.

Too damned bad about not being able to at least cover some of those fumbles, missed field goals, and dropped passes.

For that matter....too damned bad about forcing Georgia to use the 2nd string QB....that guy was good.

The final drive of this game was eerily similar to the last drive against Washington last year. The same dynamics of poor play selection and poor execution. QB play was not good when it mattered. Looks like a pattern to me when the game is on the line and TX needs a score in the last minutes to win.

I guess Sark did. I think most of us did during the game though

The lack of call consistency through the game was what had us all angry. I saw so many non-calls on GA for holding, roughing the passer, lining up in the neutral zone, etc, that I lost count. These SEC refs have nothing on the B12 refs.
I have not been impressed with the $ec officials at all this year.

Last night Beck is throwing the ball while getting hit, roughing the passer is called. Ewers throws the ball, seconds later is pushed hard to the ground and nothing. I also saw hands to the facemask, defensive PI or holding, and holding by their OL go uncalled. Sark had every right to be pissed. Be that said, we were still in the game until the end.

Bingo.

This is what separates good from elite.

I don't want to sound Aggy like, but not only look like a late hit on Quinn, but the guy should have been called for targeting.....face mask to face mask...no pull back...

You can call it obnoxious all you want. The evidence is in front of your eyes.

No QB in recent memory has had a bigger fall from being a Heisman frontrunner and QB1 in the draft, to possibly going Day 3 at best. There's a reason for that.

Again, don't get me wrong. I'm here to cheer our boys no matter what and always will, but I can still point out the obvious and be ticked off that we didn't capitalize on Offense after that first half performance by our defense.
He was good between 20's but in red zone couldn't capitalize.
