What to watch for over this next week:

- Texas Men's golf - expected to make quarterfinals match play. As long as they make the top 15 cut (like the women) the outcome won't be overly negative.
- Stanford Mens' Golf - not expected to score meaningful points. They need to finish in the top 12 to have any impact.
- Stanford baseball - can they make a run and win the Pac12 tournament? Unlikely, but if they do and add anywhere from 25-50 points that would be huge for their chances.

Texas is currently predicted to score 1413

Texas men's tennis was expected to finish 2nd, though had a great opportunity to win today. No harm done to the final score prediction with their 2nd place finish.

Ladies golf had improved their standing in recent weeks and was ranked in a way as to make the match play quarterfinals. That is unlikely currently. Still, finishing at worst top 15 won't hurt the score by more than 12 points.

All in all, Texas continues to be a strong position.

Nope, they were the 1 seed and have been ranked as such during all previous predictions.

Stanford baseball went 2-0 in their pool and advance to the semifinals of the conference tourney. Still two wins away but possible they could squeak into the tourney.

The final race will go at 8:30. Texas still the favorite, could be close with Stanford. If Texas wins, they essentially clinch the Directors' Cup.

Tied with Stanford going into the 1st string 8 person boat. Need to finish ahead of them and no worse than 1 place behind Tennessee.

The minimum directors cup score for Texas is approximately 1338 (approx because T&F could technically score 0 points but I am giving them the same points they scored at indoor after disastrous performances.) That score assumes no more softball or baseball wins

The max score for Stanford is 1329.75. That assumes a softball national championship for. It does also assume their women's Track and field doesn't factor in which is likely. They enter the championship meet ranked 42nd and would need to finish top 12 to make any impact on the directors cup scoring.

BTW, thanks Bwilk for all your time and effort on this, I enjoy it. When I was a HS coach I worked for an AD that pushed all sports and we competed hard for the Lone Star Cup every year. If you’re not going to try and win it all, why compete.

That was a pretty amazing softball game with UT eliminating Stanford and advancing to the world series final. UT scores in the top of the 7th on a squeeze bunt, tie-goes-to-the-runner play at the plate. UT holds on in the bottom of the 7th to win 1-0 and advance.

On an only semi-related issue, Kirk Bohls remains a self-serving blow-hard jerk.

Bohls was a jerk/hack when I was in school in the late 80’s. He hasn’t changed. I wasn’t a fan then and not one now.

Also looks like the Women's Golf team just hired a new Head Coach who has previously won a Natty. Hopefully they get us even more points next year.
