Texas takes down #10 Vanderbilt at the Moody Center tonight, 80-64. Vanderbilt (15-1) was undefeated until tonight.

This is the second consecutive Top 25 opponent Texas has beaten in as many games, beating #13 Alabama only days ago.

Vokeitaitis was big down the stretch, dominating the middle and scoring a team-high 22 points. Tramon Mark had 21 points, Swain had 14 and Pope had 12.

Texas shot 53% on FGs for the night, 41% from the three, and 86% from the free throw line. But Texas also had 14 turnovers.

Texas will host Texas A&M on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Hats off to the team and Coach Miller. Things weren’t looking to good to start SEC play, but they are playing solid now. This is still a transition year, but I look forward to some good years coming up as Miller gets his system and players into place.

I've said all year.... this team plays a really exciting brand of basketball. Even some of the losses were entertaining games. Well... now it seems they're starting to "get it." I'm interested to see how this team fares the remainder of the season. Hamilton said that a good goal for a first year coach is to make the tourney.

On another topic, I think Pope is one of the best shooters I've ever seen at Texas. And I go back to the Abe Lemmons days. When Pope is on - we can beat anybody. When he's not.... the going can be rough.

Vokietaitis has become a bit of a favorite for me. Finesse is not how I'd describe his game.

Good win!

Okay, Horns! You have my attention but have to keep the momentum going! Still on the outside looking in for the tournament, but trending up this week!

Now win 3 in a row and beat a bad aggy team!

Big win at home! We out shot them on the floor, 3's and the line along with owning the boards. We keep doing that and this team will be able to do some damage!

I love watching Weaver play! He might be the shortest guy we have yet he had 9 boards last night along with 2 steals. If you looked up hustle in the dictionary, you'd see his picture next to it.

I personally think aggy isn't a bad team, they took Tennessee to OT at their house. We play like we did last night and we'll be hard to beat. 🤘

Texas (11-6, 2-2) will host arch-rival Texas A&M (13-4, 3-1) today coming off huge wins against Alabama and Vanderbilt.

Our shooters were cold and aggy shooters weren't, that was the ball game right there. Several times last night I saw our guys not take wide open shots just to drive in just to take contested ones and miss.

How the h#ll do you beat Bama on the road, and then lose to Miss St and aggy at home?
