I have no idea how this bball team is going to be like.

There's talent galore here, but it's a collection of men who haven't played that much together. It's also one of the taller teams we've ever had.

We'll just have to see where they are in that team chemistry aspect.

Miller's coaching will gain us some wins that used to be losses.

Historically we haven't done well vs Duke however we're pretty successful vs N Carolina, weird stat.

So, we lost to Duke on Tuesday night, 75 --- 60.

There was some good, bad, and ugly from the game.


Good:
Swaim led in scoring with 16 pts., with both Pope and the Great white hope, Matas V., each with 15 pts. a piece.
Was surprised by Pope coking off the bench especially in the 2nd half to help with most of his 15 points.

Bad:
Matas V. should've 25 pts and 15 rebounds. He needs to be stronger and better with the ball/pass around the paint/rim.

Hate how refs let teams play with few calls in the 1st half; then want the 2nd half about them and the calls. It almost felt like the FBI should look into these refs. The flag. 1 called on Traore wss just terrible and total B.S.

Ugly:

Weaver, Mark, Codie, Wilcher, Heide : Can't have 5 players play giving only 13 points.

Can't keep blaming coaches for scoring droughts when every staff since Penders has had scoring droughts. It's the players and their shot making decisions. At least 3 scoring droughts in the game.

It might be tough, but it prepares them for the Dance, assuming they make the cut.

Gerry Hamilton said today that Duke will be the tallest and lengthiest team Texas will see until Alabama. I don't know how he didn't put UConn on that list. They have two 7'1", a 6'11", two 6'8" and two 6'7".

Farleigh Dickinson lost their opener to ranked Iowa State.

Texas up 43-24 at the half. Tramon Mark had some timely buckets through the first half. Lastt 5 minutes, Texas just started taking over after being behind early in the game.

I love Miller's motion offense.

Texas wins 93-58. Volka had 19 pts and played pretty well. Tramon Mark is the glue that holds this tteam together, IMO. Swain had moments but he's not getting it done, considering his potential.

Nick Cody continues to improve. He had a good game.

Texas is now 2-1.
