2026 Recruiting Board/Thread

New offer went out to Karon Maycock, 3* LB, 6'1" 200, Miami Central. Currently committed to Fla St. but will OV to Texas for the Vanderbilt game. For video go to Coffee & Football 10/24.

From Justin Wells. Some Texas targets in the LSU class:

Havon Finney, CB, Los Angeles (Calif.) Sierra Canyon – LSU commit

One of two major recruits the Horns will push for after Kelly’s dismissal on Sunday. Finney always liked Texas even back in the Spring, but the teammate of five-star commit Richard Wesley is certainly listening to the Horns recruiting pitch. Finney needs to see Austin again, possibly setting up an official visit. Watch USC here too for the reclassified four-star cornerback.

Trenton Henderson, EDGE, Pensacola (Fla.) Pine Forest – LSU commit

The other LSU pledge that Texas will definitely push for is the Sunshine State product. The Horns have been in touch with the uber athletic edge-rusher. Texas definitely wants another EDGE in this cycle, to join Wesley. Henderson chose the Tigers over Texas and Florida. If he reopens his recruitment, we like Texas’ chances here.

Henderson supposedly didn't choose Texas because the edge room was so full. That hasn't changed, but I hope you're right.

Texas commit Jermaine Bishop (Willis, TX) so far this year has 14 INTs, 3 pick sixes, and 6 non-offensive TDs.
I'm rooting for him to play offense in the burnt orange.

It would be nice to have the problem of deciding which side of the ball you want to play on at the D1 level.

LSU commit 4-star offensive tackle Brysten Martinez (Gonzales, La./East Ascension) was at the game today and is staying through Sunday afternoon. Texas looking for the flip

LSU seems to be the one school that is immune from in-state kids leaving the state even if/when the program is in shambles. Ill be pleasantly surprised if we can steal someone from them.

Some are saying Dmarion Carlton, the DE from Temple, has flipped to Texas. Have not confirmed yet. He was committed to Tech and we recruited him hard. He was at our game today

Hope it's true.

I'll take a flip of Carlton to pair with Wesley at the edge. Flip the OT from LSU (Martinez) and CB Havon Finney. Would love one more WR and go all out for Xavier Griffen to flip from Bama. Griffen is a pipe dream, but the others are gettable.

Carlton, Martinez, Finney and a WR and that is a top 3 class.
