2026 Recruiting Board/Thread

LSU seems to be the one school that is immune from in-state kids leaving the state even if/when the program is in shambles. Ill be pleasantly surprised if we can steal someone from them.
We have a few big time ones from Louisiana. Arch, Derek Williams, and Wardell Mack were all guys LSU wanted.

We're looking hard at this guy. He's risen up the ranks during his senior year, a late bloomer. He is the son of former Houston Texans DB Johnathan Joseph Sr. Mark Orphey will be by to see him this week, per OTF.

Sure, from a pure numbers standpoint. LSU cant take everyone. But generally, a high % of their elite recruits stay home.
Wish we could say the same about Texas.

Where is he looking to go? Not a guy I want to lose.
Gerry said that Texas is exploring other options. Berymon is an over the ball tackle. Texas would rather sign someone more mature for that position.

Well, in Louisiana, its really LSU or a big step down.

In Texas, we have numerous schools that play on the big stage. It's really not about loyalty, but a kid's options. Like you said, we can't take everyone.

What Sark has done is chase the best players in the country. That has diverted some emphasis away from the state, recruiting wise. So it appears we don't get all Texans but that is really by design.

Mack tried to be all Texas roster, but more so for his own convenience. We didn't get an out of stater unless they were a legacy or were ready to commit upon offer. Mack loved recruiting and was great at it. He just didn't like to travel.

Dylan Berymon has officially decommitted per Gerry Hamilton.

OTF has talked about this for some time. Berymon was a commit in this class only because he wanted to be. Apparently our attraction to him soured for some reason. Burton has spoken about it a few times.

But yeah, we've been trying to flip Guervil because we didn't want to keep Berymon and more or less made him interested in other places. Texas likes Guervil much more.

Late night update on Berymon from CJ Vogel.

UPDATE 10:40 pm:

Berymon tells OTF he is still “100% committed to Texas” and remains in the class.

Though now more willing to listen to schools elsewhere it appears.

Well that makes sense. 100% committed...until he's not.

And the rich just keep getting richer. Ohio St already has five WR commitments.
At the rate they're sending receivers to the NFL (and having successful careers might I add), I can't blame the recruits for wanting to go there. Hopefully Hartline gets considered for a head coaching job at another school

And they play freshman WR at their program. Sark is reluctant to play a fresh extended plays. I actually thought Locket would've seen more action this year. Daylan has seen some action here and there.

I will say this, Sark and staff have always pulled out a surprise or two at signing day. I expect this year to be no different.
