Any update on the CAL LB visit yesterday? Have they moved away from him now since Biles now this guy from FST are in town? or are they just kicking the tires on all of them to find the right fit or fits if they take 2?

Ohio State is losing better depth pieces than us IMO, it’s obvious that the big schools just can’t pay everyone at the rate the players want to get paid.

Cade Phillips, Bo Mascoe, Graceson Littleton...obviously, he was the odd man out.

Texas is looking at several LBs. Expect them to sign at least two.

Ole Miss QB Chambliss was denied another year of eligibility.

Texas is hosting Yale OL Mikey Bennett. Gave up one sack last year. Had 22 pancakes in one game as a senior in HS.

Three year starter, all-Ivy League first team, honorable mention All America.

Texas is hosting former Florida State linebacker Justin Cryer for a visit Friday morning, On Texas Football has learned.

Cryer, listed at 6-foot-1 and 238 pounds, started eight games for Noles and appeared in all 12 in 2025.

For his career, Cryer has over 730 snaps ranging over three seasons. Has a brother who plays for the Golden State Warriors.

How does he still have eligibility?! Feels like a decade ago.
Here's his stats. Omeire's one season for Texas did not count against his eligibility since he played in only 4 games.

Zina has decided to return to Texas and get out of the portal, FYI.
That's good, but yet another example of Sark going back on his assertion that he won't take players back once they enter the portal.

I guess the policy is if you enter the portal we may or may not allow you to return, Obviously not a real policy.

I'm not sure if you can have multi year deals with performance clauses, but it would add some sanity, to an out of control situation.

It makes no sense to pay a 5 star guy like Ffrench and work on development, only to have him leave before contributing anything.

Unless you can get a long term commitment from a high schooler, the whole paradigm of signing guys with potential, then developing them to contribute in future years completely falls appart. This concept seems fundamental to how Sark was trying to build the Roster.

Perhaps the smaller schools will now be mostly form a farm system, where they take in a boatload of freshman every year, and then all of those athletes that are successful enter the portal and sign lucrative deals with the schools that have money.
My crystal ball tells me that if State Legislatures get involved, we may see a "minor league" of smaller schools in the state that can feed into State schools or at least State schools get first crack.
