Former Maryland DL Lavon Johnson has signed with the Texas Longhorns, as first reported by Pete Nakos.

News circulating earlier today indicated he had signed with North Carolina. Not so fast my friend. He has signed with Texas.

This is the 4th DL we've added during the portal season.

I work with a relative. Heard his visit went great and the NIL package was attractive. Was supposed to visit Oh St today, but canceled to jump on the Texas offer.

I also think its the 2nd DL that has more than 1 year of eligibility remaining. We can hopefully get off of the carousel of needing new DTs everything single portal cycle.
