2024-2025 Transfer Portal Thread

Raul and I were friends in college. Had some engineering classes together. Being from Mexico, his family could not make many football games.

Back then players got two tickets to the games. He would give them to me. I loved going to the frat house and comparing ticket seat locations. Mine were always between the 45 yards lines.
He’s the first kicker I remember as I became football aware - well him and Rafael Septién. Funny enough, I thought being Mexican was a requirement to be a kicker at the time

Haha... I couldn't remember Erxleben's percentages... I remember his record kicks.
His 67 yard field goal vs Rice was the first Texas game I ever attended. He also kicked a kickoff through the uprights in that game. After a penalty.

Now that the CCG is over, any rumors floating about who may be looking to leave via the portal? Didn't Sark say they would be doing evaluations after last night's game?

The SWC had 3 really good kickers playing at the same time in the 70s. Erxleben - Texas, Franklin - aggy, Little - Arkansas.

Didn't Septien get in trouble for showing some girl his junk?

I know Lance Rentzel left because of something similar, but I thought Septien got in hot water over it several years later.

We recruited this guy pretty hard a couple years back.

Sources: Texas Tech WR Micah Hudson to enter transfer portal

Texas Tech wide receiver Micah Hudson is planning to enter the college football transfer portal, sources confirmed to ESPN on Sunday.

The five-star recruit caught eight passes for 123 yards during his true freshman season. He missed the Red Raiders' final four games because of a stress fracture.

Hudson was a massive recruiting coup for Texas Tech. As the No. 22 overall recruit in the 2024 ESPN 300, he became the highest-ranked prospect to ever sign with the program since ESPN began ranking them in 2006.

While fellow five-star recruits Ryan Williams (Alabama), Jeremiah Smith(Ohio State) and Cam Coleman (Auburn) enjoyed instant success as freshmen, Hudson played a more limited role in his first year and finished sixth among Texas Tech wideouts in targets.

The 6-foot, 195-pound wideout from Temple, Texas, earned one start in eight games while playing behind Florida transfer Caleb Douglas.

Josh Kelly, a Washington State transfer, emerged as the Red Raiders' top receiver and caught 89 passes (third most in the Big 12) for 1,023 yards and five touchdowns.

Hudson is expected to be one of the most coveted receivers on the transfer market when he officially enters the portal on Dec. 9, the first day of the NCAA's winter transfer window.

His decision to transfer was first reported by 247Sports.
