It does apply to grad transfers. The last date for them to transfer in conferences without sitting is February 1 (2 weeks after non grad transfets). Since that date has passed he isn't eligible to play at another SEC school next year, except maybe at Texas or ou, assuming they don't have a way to prevent that potential loop hole of schools about to enter.
