I think I was referring to those specific improvements because I have doubts the public will even notice much based on the description. So many don't read news today so they'll never really know.

But I do. agree about the "everyone gets a prize' thing. Just wrong.

Now, we have metal bleachers. They're not as comfortable as the oak plank type. This was a great development for those who manufactured stadium seats.
SHA seemed to wonder if improvements matter. I belive intodays fan world they do. Not only the fans, but now ina 8 team leaque 7 make the play offs every one gets a prize.

Days of sitting on oak plank bleachers are gone today need a lazy boy and personal tv.
Thanks for clarifying and pretty much what I assumed.

It is a big investment so hopefully the improvements are noticeable and improve the game day experience for fans. That stadium has certainly seen better days.

I'm curious about this 8 team league Eastex speaks of? Maybe we could get David Pierce coaching there.

These are the Cotton Bowl improvements:

The highly anticipated renovations focus on enhancements to the visitor experience including:

  • The addition of 14 new escalators
  • Construction of new multi-story entries at the two west entrance gates
  • The upper west concourse will be increased to three times the current square footage and include two outdoor terraces with views of downtown Dallas.
  • The main concourse on the west side of the stadium will be doubled in size, featuring new art deco artwork to augment the venue’s classic style.
  • Restrooms and concession stands will get a makeover and more will be added
  • Creation of new premium seating environments and a newly expanded press area in the South endzone
  • Improving the in-stadium Wi-Fi signal
Other renovations are planned for the surrounding Fair Park, including a privately funded Community Park Complex and upgrades to the Music Hall at Fair Park and the African-American Museum.

Are any of these really a big deal?
It can be. Getting in and out of the stadium is a nightmare. Everything funnels to the exits and their aren't enough of them. During the game and at half time, with all the lines and people congregating to get out of the sun, the passage ways are way too narrow. Think Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras.

And if you think the line to the Women's bathroom is long, you should see the line to the Men's bathrooms. It's longer than the beer lines.

I'll be interested to see what the changes are like. This is one of the games I make every year.

Huh? How does that work ?..Still on scholly ?

What is an NCAA medical disqualification?
The permanent injury status/medical disqualification process allows ICA to continue providing athletically-related financial aid to a student-athlete, without the aid counting against NCAA team financial aid limits, if the student-athletes becomes injured or ill to the point that the student-athlete cannot participate ...
