I was responding to your original post saying I don't think Sark will change his personnel or de-emphasize the use of his TE, especially Helm now that he's TE #1 and you're losing all three of your starting WRs.I never said he would take a TE off the field. I said he would look for a playmaker not just try and make the TE a playmaker.
I have nothing against Helm but if you think he will give us what Sanders did you’ve lost your mind.
Very encouraging that we have the players in place to replace Brooks without blinking an eye. Bijan was a freak and did things not many RBs can but the offense was able to handle his loss pretty nicely. Between Baxter and Blue next year, I don't think we miss Brooks much. And once the next round of RBs leaves, Christian Clark and Jerrick Gibson will be ready. Very good position group right now on campus.Wouldn’t surprise me if he is the featured back next year. He is so damn fun to watch
I think we can both agree if he can recruit the guys that are so big they block out the sun when standing next to you Texas will be looking good for years to come. My family still lives in Austin but its been a few years since I've been home but if they can develop a culture where those kids can go and eat their types of food, and feel at home, then those kids won't automatically go to USC,BYU,AZ,and Wash, because they are fearless when it comes to football and the only thing they are afraid of are their mother'sWell maybe we'll disagree on this one. I too have a deep affiliation to the islands, Polynesia and Micronesia. A lot of my friends from those islands call themselves "Poly". Many of them come from mixed races Samoan, Tongan, Hawaiian, Fijian, etc..
So, yes, I mean Polynesian. I don't just want to recruit Samoan kids, but all those mentioned above as well
I agree, he’s shown a good willingness to block and good-great hands. He was just typically used in 2-TE sets and seemed to be the check down more times than not. I think he runs well enough to stretch the seem and is a pretty sure catch. I look for his production to increase a lot next year.I was responding to your original post saying I don't think Sark will change his personnel or de-emphasize the use of his TE, especially Helm now that he's TE #1 and you're losing all three of your starting WRs.
I mentioned yesterday Helm is very obviously not Sanders, but he should play a lot and do well.
but that may be a blessing in disguise, we have the RB's so feed your best horses and let them run, and maybe we become the run first team we always claimed to beI was responding to your original post saying I don't think Sark will change his personnel or de-emphasize the use of his TE, especially Helm now that he's TE #1 and you're losing all three of your starting WRs.

Those are great bucks. Have to be high fenced
High fenced and Kleberg CountyThose are great bucks. Have to be high fenced
I hate high fence. My place in Mason county always had great bucks until the property to the east sold and put up a high fence.A friend of mine who is also a Horn once offered me a trip to his lease in the Hill Country. He had nice sized Whitetails, but also Axis, and some others. They were fenced in with 10 ft poultry wire.
As he was explaining his set up, I realized this was shooting fish in a barrel. The lease was only 300 acres. There were three feeders. The deer had trained themselves to flock to the feeders whenever they'd hear the feeder motor going.
Of course, you'd be there in an elevated blind some 100 yards away and only at the time the feeders go off, and all you had to do was make a shot when they showed up to eat. You could pick whatever species you wanted to, but some are pretty high priced. He offered me half price for a big whitetail buck.
I had to decline. I appreciated it but it just was so clearly not a sporting thing in that set up.
I hope we're throwing a bunch of NIL $ at him. If he comes back it helps fix a lot in the defensive backfield. His football IQ will help to get those new DBs in the right position. Also remember that most of those guys are early enrollees, so they'll have time to learn the system.TFB reporting that there is a good chance (60-40 Texas) that Jahdae Baron returns for another season at Texas.
IMO, that's huge.
