I thought it was pretty obvious he wanted the ball thrown his way. And it was, on the next play.
Again, the waving his hands and nodding, it could be one interpretation. Obvious? Not really.

I've thought about this like most of you. In my humble opinion, if QE's pass would have been more in the playing area, the call might have been made. Maybe more of a chance than the no call. Yes, the OL didn't help. To be more objective, Penix would have place that pass in a better chance of being successful.
There were quite a few naysayers especially after the 0u loss.....we sucked until we don't...or something like thatThis year exceeded my expectations as well.
Who are all the Sark naysayers? Where do I go to find them, Texags?? I don’t see all these naysayers on any Texas forums.
Penix probably wouldn't have had 2 defenders in his face while making the throw also...I've thought about this like most of you. So close (to winning) and yet, so far away. SMH
As I mentioned earlier in post: "Yea, the OL didn't help." See above. But in fairness, how many times did Penix smoothly move from defenders and make an accurate throw? One time a defender was in his face and was about to get hit, Penix throws a TD pass.Penix probably wouldn't have had 2 defenders in his face while making the throw also...
Penix didn't do that three years ago. Remember, Penix is 23 and in his sixth year of college football. Playing in all six seasons. He didn't make a leap until last season. Our guy made the leap to what Penix was last year in his second year playing. We are fine. That pass was not caught because the short DB made sure AD couldn't jump by pushing down on AD's neck to elevate himself and make sure AD couldn't elevate. Great play when you get away with it.As I mentioned earlier in post: "Yea, the OL didn't help." See above. There were plenty of them on the game threads during the year, some I even called out as aggy trolls. This year exceeded my expectations as well.

I was simply removing the orange tinted glasses with my observation.Penix didn't do that three years ago. Remember, Penix is 23 and in his sixth year of college football. Playing in all six seasons. He and Bo Nix took full advantage of the CV19 rule, personally I dont think either will do well in the pros6 year QB to a 3 year QB no compareison. Penix got better when he transfered Udub. He excelled in DeBoer offence. Hard to belive DeBoer is only been in big time coaching 4 years.
Idk what this means![]()
Hard to tell who will excell in the pro's, depends on what team and coach drafts them. Same for Ewers. He and Bo Nix took full advantage of the CV19 rule, personally I dont think either will do well in the pros
It would not make much sense to go into the draft, unless he balls out during Pro Day workouts; but the defensive edge is pretty solid at the moment even without him, I worry about the Defensive interior front, losing Murphy and Sweat is a huge loss; we shall see how fast we can get these younger guys up to speed behind Broughton and Collins (who is more than likely returning); not sure if Trill Carter can step it up to be a main component in the middle, he had a average year this season; can he be the focal point of the middle for us next season, time will tellHe's a JR so maybe he's thinking about declaring for the draft?
QE needs to work on his footwork, he throws a pretty ball, but honestly dont know if he has the live arm, he has gotten away with it his whole life by kind of flipping the ball, but I remember Major Applewhite after his brief pro camp realized he didnt have the throws needed to play on SundayHard to tell who will excell in the pro's, depends on what team and coach drafts them. I like Texas' chances in a bidding war with LSU.Hearing some rumors about LSU approaching Coach Bo, anyone else seeing or hearing anything on that?
I offer grace to emotional posters during games. I have less patience for lectures on how to root for the team. We’re all friends here, no? I admittedly tired of the “until we don’t” mantra. There were plenty of them on the game threads during the year, some I even called out as aggy trolls.
Be that said, proud of the guys not giving up when all seemed lost.![]()
