Beard is done

This serms like a terrible law in that it allows Universities, and maybe other entities to fire someone without a real reason,  but potentially a made up reason. (Not saying Texas didn't have a legitimate reason).

It makes me wonder if aggy could use this to get rid of Dimbo.
My understanding is that Leach being fired for cause ended up being due to some falsehoods, yet he had no way to fight it legally.

Also posting again here, as not sure which thread is being used for coaching prospects.

Anyone have a scoop on if the powers that be are interested in bringing Jay Wright out of retirement? Let's at least make him say no.

I don’t see Calipari happening. I think they pay him close to $9M per year. He isn’t going to take a pay cut to come and I can’t see Texas paying a basketball coach more than a football coach.

Also, he is a good coach no doubt but if you look at his recruiting, he should win it every year. His recruiting is like what Nick Saban does at Bama, maybe better. His winning sure doesn’t match his recruiting.

Perhaps some of you can recalled the events before Beard was hired. I recall seeing a lot of Cal articles and implied interest for the Texas job. I don't remember if it was a misdirection play by CDC, trial balloon or Cal's agent leaking reports. Anyone?

If CDC is really considering this, my opinion of him will take a serious hit.
