Longhorn News/Discussion (Non-Recruiting)

My brother in law is an LSU fan from Lake Charles originally. This past weekend he was showing me some stuff they have on their streaming platform they call “LSU Gold.”

It got me thinking how that would be great for Texas once we go to the sec. Tons of player videos, Coach interviews, and exclusive content.

Add in some live games like volleyball, soccer, womens bball, baseball, and softball and I’d pay $10/month with no questions for that.

Anyone know if we have something like it in the works?

My BIL is an aggy.  ?

I think they're getting there.

They wore out K-State and eventually got home.
I have been very critical of PK and the defense. I admit they are making progress and have actually won a couple of games for us (Iowa St and Kansas St). They have also failed to hold late on our 3 losses. So I am still skeptical of PK, but have moved my Fire-O-Meter from must-fire to give-him-1-more-year.

Given our defensive success against schools with State in their name, can we refer to the opposition this week as Cockroach State College this week?

Our defense has improved drastically against the run, one of the best in the country. We were a sieve last year.

We are giving up a high completion percentage, lots of passes over the middle. Pass defense is not giving up many long plays or major busts that allow long TDs - that was a problem last year.

We are getting pressure on QBs, mostly with DTs and struggling to get sacks - though better than last year. We don't get much from the end position in the pressure or sack category. I think this improves as some of our young guys develop.

Like Tfloss said, a few more pieces and some further development I think the defense could be great.

It is imperative for our secondary to get control of the middle. Everybody is eating our lunch there and TCU LOVES to throw over the middle.

Don't be offended, you're not among the members who are trying to understand you.

You're not Clark and I'm not Scarlett.
If you're fortunate enough to reach ET's age, you'll understand. Your fingers don't move like they used to and you can't see as well what you type.

ET often has good insight and contributes to the board. If it bothers you to have to read between the lines to understand him, skip his posts, but please don't discourage him.
