Game Day: #15 Texas Longhorns @ Arkansas Razorbacks

Think this through, gentlemen, please.

We recovered a fumble, but were a toenail clipping out of bounds.

Dicker fumbled a snap, and I have never seen him do that.

If they don’t call this targeting, that will be at least two they haven’t called on Arkansas tonight.  They didn’t.

It is just a weird night.  That is not to say that their line didn’t push us around, and that our offense wasn’t stagnant at times.

Casey is making a difference, and no one has quit.

Every time someone says that, I want to suit up the person who says it and let them play a quarter-just a quarter.

Hook ‘em!
Watch that drive and you’d see the defense gave up on the play…..quit

People are going to do what Tessatore just did and go on about Thompson. Truth is he has played well but it is easier to produce when the defense has a big lead and is playing soft coverage. The problems exposed tonight may be lessened with a different qb but they go much deeper. There is lots of work to do.
Totally agree with you.  Thompson will make the OL look a little better imo though. The OL whiffs's too many blocks and gets move.  Casey is the best QB for this year with his escape ability.  I will say this though, Arky defense has not quit all game long and Casey is still doing it.

I guess I need to apologize to Eastxhorn. He’s always wanting more and more offensive line recruits and I was thinking we’d be ok in there. Nawww we need to get some lineman and try to hold onto those defensive linemen.
None nessary. Maybe next year.

SEC ready I am not sure we are Big 12 ready.

Then along comes Rice and koolade will flow.

I do expect Texas to blow out Rice but I do not agree that the kool-aid will flow if that does happen. Given the past 10 years, I think only a 6-1 record at the bye week would allow fans to believe this is anything more than a 7 or 8 win team.

I’m making reservations in San Antonio for late December.

At least it’s not our QB doing it.
Naw that Arkie QB doing it. Every one except Texas coaches knew Arkies off. was QB runs RB and one WR .They could not stop it.

If a Swopes type QB can lay 40 on them I realy dread OU.

Honest question

Down there on the goal line and we keep getting stacked up losing yards…….Q- When was the last time you saw a Texas team get down on the goalline and us be able to knock people back off the ball? It seems like we have been doing that for a long time. We should be able to drive people back and get a couple of yards.

Sark just said; "some things got spit out". Wonder if he meant some guys spit the bit out late. If that is what he is saying, he is calling some of his guys out. Sounds different to me than some of the back patting and coddling that has been done in the past few years. Unless I misunderstood what he was saying.

Said a similar thing in the recruiting thread. It has not seemed like we have been able to manhandle anyone consistently in a very long time. Makes me wonder what kind of functional strength we are developing over the past several years.

When depth chart for pigs came out some one said you do not change what is working. Waiting next depth chart.

Fred Akers era.

They’ve got to open up the competition at offensive line and find 5 that can play. I’d go circle drill and find out who the toughest 5 are.
I’d change the lineup based on game film the past two weeks. What do you have to lose?
