We've played two decent teams this year. Split at home and lose on the road. Not a good start.

There seems to be a consensus that Stanford is their usual bad self this year, so 1 of 4 isn't the end of the world. Last night and tonight were very winnable games. Still troubling that we couldn't pull it out in either case.

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. I've heard the same refrain early in each of the last two seasons. I'll get excited when we actually start winning series against good teams.

I was gone/away from a computer most of Saturday and didn't realize it was the 2ng game of a DH. Just saw on Texas Sports that it was a DH and Texas lost both. My bad.

Solid games, I just feel like UT didn't take advantage of two quality starts by their starting pitchers.  Onward we go.

Little tidbit for y'all; with the Sunday game moved to yesterday, it left Sunday as an off day for the team before they were to fly back to Austin tonight. After dropping two yesterday, the coaching staff called for a morning practice and workout today at Stanford's field. No free day to sightsee and putz around. The coaching staff is bound and determined to get these guys firing on all cylinders and that starts with putting in the work.
