2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

McNeal's recruitment could be a really big deal for Texas. Not only is he a very solid player, he could be the final chess piece to push Malik into the 40.

Chris Warren's last game -- 471 yards on 34 carries -- went the distance on 4 of at least 60 yards and scored 6 times.

He now has 1,879 rushing yards and 29 TDs on the season.

According to Horns247, Malik will be at the game Saturday with DeAndre. DeAndre on his official and Malik on yet another unofficial visit.

Others are saying Malik Jefferson will be at LSU this weekend.

So, I dont really know.

Partial visitor list for WVU

Commit:
Zach Gentry, QB, Albuquerque (NM)

Prospects:
DeAndre McNeal, ATH, Mesquite (TX)
Devonaire Clarington, TE, Miami (FL)
Davante Davis, CB, Homestead (FL)
Cecil Cherry, ILB, Lakeland (FL) - Tenn. commit
Ronnie Harrison, S, Tallahassee (FL) - Bama commit
Tim Irvin, S/WR/Ath, Miami (FL) - UMiami lean

It appears both Johnson brothers (Kirk and Collin) will be in Austin this weekend (committed already).

And that OLs Connor Williams and Garrett Thomas won't be (at UT coaches' request).

I feel like Collin Johnson will be upped to a five star before his days in High School are done.

I am excited about Zach Gentry at QB.  Let's hope his visit Sat. will fully solidify his commitment.

Hook 'Em!

I'm not worried at all about Gentry (or at least as confident anyone can be about the decisions made by a 17 year old kid).  He seems as firm as you can be at this point.    Really looking forward to getting this kid back on campus though.

Agreed, I think he's a pretty solid commit at this point. I'm not too concerned about his decision swaying. All the same, these are kids. Things can change on a whim.

I imagine the high school players in his district will be glad to see him go

His highlight film makes them all look like midgets

If Texas could get a commit from both of those guys....DKR becomes a no-fly zone.

Here an article from Horn Digest where the writers debate who is the most important recruit for this weekend

Gabe Brooks’ Take

I'll admit to not knowing much about the Florida guys who will make the trip to Austin this weekend, but one in-state guy who stands out to me is Mesquite (Texas) Poteet four-star prospect DeAndre McNeal.

Getting an official visit from him at this juncture could be huge for Texas, which, as Scout national analyst Greg Powers has pointed out, is recruiting McNeal on offense, where McNeal has made it clear that he wants to play at the next level. McNeal has accumulated dozens of offers. While plenty of schools like him on the offensive side of the ball, just as many, if not more, like him on defense as an outside linebacker or in-the-box safety.

Texas' recruitment of McNeal may have repercussions beyond him, too.

Will Texas' efforts with McNeal impact the Longhorns' chances with five-star linebacker Malik Jefferson, a teammate and good friend of McNeal's? That remains to be seen. But you've gotta think that it sure can't hurt Texas' chances with Jefferson if the Longhorns put themselves in good position with McNeal.

Both players plan Dec. 19 commitments. Maybe Saturday's official visit for McNeal can make an impact on the process for both, rather directly or indirectly.

Such an important weekend for Strong and and his coaches for this season and next.  They need the win to take the next step to being bowl eligible, and they need a good showing so as not to embarass themselves in front of all of the recruits they are bringing in.  Heres hoping that the veterans on this team understand just how important this is, and play like it.
