Texas Offensive Stats that are Really Interesting & Surprising

Recommended Posts

Saw this elsewhere so I'm going to assume it is accurate.

Statistically speaking, in 28 drives through 2 games (excluding the kneel down at the end of the 1st half against tulsa)

- 19 drives that resulted in a punt or a turnover (68%)
- Only 8 scoring drives (29%)
- 10 drives of 10 yards or less (36%)
- 45 1st downs (1.6 1st downs per drive)

All this while:

- OL has played much better than they did last season
- RBs are averaging a full yard per carry more than they were in 2017 (4.6 vs 3.6 YPC)
- Avg. QB rating is up 14% from 2017 (141.2 vs 123.9)

Good research. Thanks
