Jimbo Fisher leaving FSU to become head coach at Texas A&M

Recommended Posts

From the article " Texas A&M last won a conference championship in 1998, when the Aggies were members of the Big 12. The school's lone national championship came in 1939."

ESPN obviously hasn't visited aggyland lately.

The deal they made Jimbo is insane. Crazy.   If Jimbo doesn’t win, and the odds say he won’t, they are stuck for a long time. My gosh, they held on to Sumlin until his contract was almost up because of the buyout.

I don’t respect this, I’m shaking my head.

Jimbo's  three year record with Jameis Winston was 29-3.

Jimbo's five years without Jameis  44-20. That's an average of 4 loses a season. Hopefully, he won't have a Jameis type QB at A&M

Having a really good QB gives any good coach a chance to be really good. Without a really good QB that same coach is merely good and not really good. Jimbo is no exception.

True.  From 2004-2009 with Vince and Colt we lost only 9 games. Mack Brown average 4 loses per year with different QBs.
